  1. Nice, 2k watts is not bad at all for the money. These things are way more viable than they were not long ago. Was just outside and it feels like snow despite my expectations for almost none from this. Makes me feel better to know that it's not that far away.
  2. I made it several years with a plug in electric show thrower. It actually is great to use up to 6" or so before it's overwhelmed. The consistently bad part is the end of the drive where the plow piles it. For larger storms just have to go out multiple times. My first gas model got messed up because some genius delivered a phone book right before a storm and it embedded itself so well in the snow thrower that I had to hack it out with a reciprocating saw and titanium blade. Never worked right after that. Finally got a larger quality gas model several years go, was well worth it.
  3. 7.5" here at 400' in Bow. Looks very impressive though since it stuck to everything. Power was out here from 3am until now.
  4. Snow and mixing for hours and hours and it's still a net loss to the inch or two of slop remaining on the ground for the day.
  5. 33 with half rain half sleet. Coming down hard enough for a coating of pellets starting to creep in on the driveway.
  6. Looks like a bit over 2" and now up to 33 with sleet and rain.
  7. 7.5" final. 3.5" first round and another 4" this afternoon.
  8. Looks like clearing the snow worked as expected. Finally accumulating snow falling again.
  9. Put a fork in it? I'm ready to clear this sad 3.5" but not if there are several more on the way.

    Had a violent shake. Anyone?
  12. Looking at Mass 511 and Google maps it appears traffic is flowing through that spot? My buddy who commutes that every day is on vacation so I lost my eyes on the ground.
  13. Heard the same from someone who works there.
  14. The page here https://nediv.arrl.org/2022/12/23/tower-collapse-concord-nh/ said it was free standing which I took to mean without guide wires.
  15. Freezing the ground solid and then putting several inches of rain into it with a rapid thaw def decreases the amount of force it takes to knock things over.
  16. That was really intense (about 40 min ago). Power outage and extra traffic on my road which usually happens only if some other road is closed.
  17. I don't see any evidence of Punta Gorda underwater based on live video throughout the event. The winds have not aligned to push water up Charlotte Harbor.
