  1. About 0.5" on cars and grass, but heavy wind and snow western part of Richmond area. Roads are fine, but visibility is minimal. 32 degrees.
  2. Moderate snow in Western Chesterfield and Henrico. (Including Short Pump) Temps starting to drop. 38.
  3. Midlothian VA, now 34. Cars and grassy surfaces starting to cover. Moderate snow, and feels quite chilly!
  4. 35, light to moderate snow. Breezy. No accumulation. Midlothian, VA (15 miles outhwest of Richmond).
  5. West End Henrico (Glen Allen). Not too far from Short Pump. 22 moderate to heavy snow and about 1 inch on the ground. Hard surfaces, and untreated roads, covered.
  6. Slush in the morning. Some slippery roads, but fortunately not as many power outages as last time here in the RIC metro. Did make for this interesting pattern on the road, though:
  7. Jeez Louise... we already got enough ice this year in the metro RIC area, especially south of town. Still many without power. Give me the 18z GFS, or just rain, over this.
  8. Glen Allen, which is north and west of Richmond. (Just north of the oft mentioned Short Pump.) 30 degrees. Moderate and steady snow. 4.2 inches at 330 AM. Areas west (Goochland, Louisa) note some 5 inch snowfall areas. Not bad at all, so far! HRRR seemed to be on to something.
  9. Glen Allen, which is north and west of Richmond. (Just north of the oft mentioned Short Pump.) 30 degrees. Moderate and steady snow. 4.2 inches. Areas west (Goochland, Louisa) note some 5 inch snowfall areas. Not bad at all, so far! HRRR seemed to be on to something.
  10. Long time lurker. Glen Allen, VA, near Hanover border, just West of 95, and N of 295. Noon obs: Right at 5", Temp 31 to 32, mixture of snow, sleet, some rain. 3 miles south is mostly rain and sleet. Roads covered completely. Transition definitely came later than local mets predicted. Wishing for our friends to the north to have good fortune with round 2. Doc
