  1. As a mostly lurker from WrightWeather (was that it?) to Eastern to here, I just assumed Ji was like the Dread Pirate Roberts. He's not the REAL Ji. The REAL Ji is retired somewhere with a lot of snow. Perhaps Tahoe. But he picked a new "Ji" to replace him who picked a new Ji to replace him.
  2. 8" (at least). 4" of snow, 4" of sleet about 1 1/2 hours ago. Sleeting. 18.
  3. I thought that was technically graupel then? At least that's what I understood at the time. My buddy and I call it "The Great Graupel Storm of Aught 3."
  4. Tree is down but I just took down outside lights. Would have loved to see them in the snow. But not sure how they'd come through whatever we're about to get.
  5. Ugh. Of COURSE us Burke/Fairfax Station people get 22.8 while the Springfield people get 23.
  6. 7" in Fairfax Station SW of Burke Lake. And coming down nicely.
  7. 7 inches in Fairfax Station with moderate to heavy snow now. Huge flakes mixing in.
  8. In Fairfax Station near Burke Lake and the snow is coming down pretty heavy right now.
  9. First few very sparse flakes falling in Fairfax Station, VA near Burke Lake. Feels like the first time I've posted in 3 years or thereabout.
  10. 34.2 and dropping like a rock. Still rain & sleet though in Fairfax Station near Burke Lake.
  11. 21/20. SN+ now. Would upload a pic but no idea how to with these limits on size.
  12. 21/17 and SN in Fairfax Station. Road is white. Grass white. Coming down pretty good.
  13. How did you do in 96 2003 2016? I was there in 2003. When Fairfax got 30" of snow, Charlottesville got 9" of graupel. And I'm still not over it.
  14. I'm in Fairfax Station (off Clifton Road) and haven't seen a plow yet. That may be why.
  15. 8.5" measured in my yard. So probably closer to 10" if I had been doing the snow board method. Rose bushes and azaleas both unrecognizable. Flat to the ground. But both need pruning anyway, so not concerned. Got the snow off the rhodedendrons and camellias.
  16. Just hit 32.0/31.6. On cue, driveway showing first signs of whitening.
  17. SN and 32.4 near Burke Lake. Sticking on grass. Driveway and roads holding out.
