  1. Jacking in this event is equivalent to winning a dick measuring contest in a Filipino locker room.
  2. This is probably the worst forecasted event by this board in a long time but at least no one on here predicted that Putin wouldn't be going into Kiev.
  3. A tenth of an inch of sleet here in Newport. The NAM has obliterated the GFS and EURO here. Total domination. I guess this event didn't "tick colder" after all. To quote Chris Mad Dog Russo: Bad job outta the guys who leaned on the snowier side of guidance.
  4. For anyone who's been studying SNE climo for any length of time in these types of events knows how absolutely ridiculous those winters storm watches were for the South Coast of RI and MA. Absolutely ridiculous.
  5. During the 2001-2002 season. It occurred on a Saturday night. The Brady playoff against the Raiders in Foxboro. But this wasn't the only snow in 2002. There was a plowable event in early December 2002 and possibly another event later in the month.
  6. He didn't want the dogs to see him climaxing in the house and the car was the next best thing.
  7. I remember you from Wright weather bulletin board. 2003!
  8. There's a very loud FOG horn that blows on occasion in Newport whenever the Viz drops below a half a mile. I've yet to hear this FOG horn during this event. Hopefully heavier bands will be onshore in the coming minutes. So far the snow is wetter than I had expected but the intensity is disappointing.
  9. Wow, this thread is dead this overnight. This forum started out many years ago dominated by Massachusetts folk but it's increasingly dominated by Connecticut folk who aren't very pleased that February 2013 isn't walking through that door along with Bird, Parish and McHale. Not many updates or reports. How can Cory in southern california be living vicariously through interior Southern New England weenies if everyone's taken their ball and gone home because this event is destined to fail to meet expectations. It's a tragedy what happened to James. If someone has his sister's facebook info please post it and let her know how much he's missed.
  10. Zeta was the strongest tropical system to DIRECTLY hit downtown New Orleans since Katrina. In fact Zeta may have had stronger winds in downtown New Orleans. I'll be surprised if MSY gusts to hurricane force with Ida. It's tracking too far west. Property values are highest in this region along the MS gulf coast with multimillion dollar casinos in Biloxi. The farthest west this goes will make the insurance companies very happy.
  11. There's an epidemic of right-wing idiocy in this country and Joe Bastardi's been leading the charge on the weather side for years. His behavior gets worse and worse.
  12. When storms bust Jay Kenney gets personal when posters highlight the obvious. I'm in Newport and so far the wind is a nothing burger.
  13. Devastated over James' passing! He came across as an extraordinarily kind and gentle person who didn't have a mean bone in his body. It was a treat observing his love and enthusiasm for Cape Cod weather. I read his sister's Facebook page and the tears were flowing. Also sorry to hear about NZucker's passing. Such an intelligent gentleman.
  14. If they have a dick measuring contest don't believe the 8-10 inch Kuchera totals.
  15. He's pushing 50. He doesn't need maxi pads anymore.
  16. Light freezing rain with a little sleet mixed in. Could've used this NE wind when so many events turned to rain or white rain this winter. I'll remember this winter for the amount of prolonged white rain events. The southern tip of Newport has only had 15 inches of snow and we're probably done.
  17. What a dramatic turn of events the last week as our snow threats have evaporated one by one.
  18. Criticizing a government entity in tongue and cheek Trumpian fashion is a lot different than disparaging a 30-year-old kid who everyone likes who lives for snow.
  19. I criticized the Norton office. I also Tweeted this criticism and one of their METS accepted the criticism because there's some basis in fact to it. I didn't attack a 30 year old kid on the Cape who loves snow whose enthusiasm sometimes gets the best of him in his analysis of snowstorms.
  20. What a cruel and awful thing to write. You're not a good person. Period. James is a valuable member of this forum and he, along with everyone else should be treated with respect!
  21. Only 3.5 approximately 8-10 miles down the road near the southern tip of aquidneck Island in Newport.
  22. Keep in mind heavier bands may park themselves somewhere north of the south coast, possibly farther north than some expect, while some areas of the cape and south coast are struggling with BL issues.
