  1. Was the warning needed? Couldn't really see anything from sterling radar, better safe than sorry I suppose.
  2. Imagine if the line came through around 3/4 hours later. Either way looks like it might be an interesting day out.
  3. I'm technically a CIT or coach in training, so I still am swimming on the team but I also get to coach an age group (9-10s) along with helping the coaches at meets.
  4. Anyone going to the pool on Saturday? At this points its a tradition to go whatever the weather. Can't wait for my first day of coaching Tuesday.
  5. Can’t wait for a day two enhanced, they always work out!
  6. Constant thunder and lightning to the south, it’s non stop.
  7. A swing and a miss. Take some pictures if you’re gonna get hit, safely of course.
  8. And it’s back also has it redevelop and hit the Carolinas
  9. Could someone translate or this in the same vain as negative PNA?
  10. Have you ever seen a model be as consistent as the gfs showing a storm in the gulf? It’s had one there since 330 hours out and has stayed locked in. It’s crazy.
  11. You gonna start the tropical thread soon because if you’re not I will.
  12. Gfs keeps showing a tropical low in the gulf every run. No other model has it at all though. Still amazing to see the GFS’s consistency even this far out.
  13. For anyone reading it I recommend replacing the word rain with snow.
  14. How many team members does your swim team have total?
  15. I get to be a coach in training this year for my swim team. Crazy to think the first practice is less than a month away.
  16. Its the same setup we would wish for in winter, instead of the low sprinting off the coast.
  17. You are the one who moved north, and on a ridge.
  18. We were close, parts of the region even had a decent year. The Enso was not really the problem as @psuhoffman pointed out, the pacific actually helped us for once we just could not get -NAO. If we had some Atlantic side help then we would most likely be singing the praises of last winter.
  19. I guess weather does follow state lines
  20. Saw some flurries outside from Oakton.
  21. Its funny in a sad way though, we spent months hoping for an storm progression just like this one and then it happens just a couple weeks too late for us. We even had a decent (not great) pattern for once and only got one medium event right as it started. Oh well, maybe next year we can get pacific help and blocking at the same time, and not whiff with that pattern.
  22. #perfect track rainstorm (for most of us anyways). Do you think some of the further east locations could of gotten something if this happened at 4am instead of near peak sun influence? At the very least the locations getting snow would probably have a couple inches of snow by this point.
  23. If only this was overnight, or ya know not in mid April.
