That basically says that there was less snow from 2011 to 2020 than there was from 1981 to 1990. That’s it. When you are doing averages and only using 30 years and doing it in blocks of 10 years, you’re gonna see swings like this. It’s a third of your data. That’s big.

Notice the wild disparity with snow in the two years with the low Jan temp. So much of snow is luck.

Ok we don’t need any more rain. We are at the point of sun angle where the soil a couple inches down won’t dry again until the weather warms again in spring. Wet season is coming soon. So … no more rain for a while please.

I used the NOAA solar calculator to find it as best I could. If I am using the calculator correctly, the direct rays of the sun will cross the equator at lat O (obviously lol) and -136.93359 long. This is in the pacific about halfway between Hawaii and San Francisco, on the equator

Yeah but the earth is “sideways” to the sun on this day. At some point today the suns direct rays will move from the northern hemisphere into the Southern Hemisphere. I think I read that it occurs at 3:20. So I’m wondering where on the equator the sun will be at 90° at 3:20. They can give the exact path of a solar eclipse so I’m sure this info is out there somewhere. I just can’t find it lol.
