There is no reason not to really, me on the south shore of suffolk county should not be getting readings equal or higher than NYC (except maybe in winter)

Temp is already up to 80F here on the coast, high yesterday was 79

I hope it stays dry (as in low dewpoints i dont mind rain), I got a job stocking the garden section in a home depot and if we have high dews like last summer I'll probably die in July

Strongest gusts around here in SW Suffolk have been in the mid 40s for the most part, with maybe a few close to 50. We had a brief shower earlier which brought the strongest winds of the day with it, while also dropping temperature around 10 degrees (67 to 58 here)

Only 65 for the high here today, mostly due to the southerly breeze. Still a nice day though

Picked up about .76" of rain this morning, I don't think I'll reach an inch today but we'll see. Stongest gusts so far have been in the 25-30 mph range. My anemometer is in a new spot now on the roof of my parents garage, it used to be on the roof of my aunt and uncles house, which was on the water, had no trees around, and was taller so i usually got great wind measurements there. Friday was the first test and it had a gust of 41 mph (probably wouldve had something around 50 mph at the old location) so maybe it'll beat that later

Republic airport in farmingdale gusted to 51 mph at the latest hourly observation, we probably have peaked at around 50-55 mph here in Lindenhurst as well, judging by how strong the wind seems. I live right under the flight path to one of the runways at Republic and there have been quite a few go arounds today

Was really nice today early on, had a high of 64 here. Now it's foggy as hell out, visibility was from a .25 mile to maybe as low as a tenth of a mile when I was driving home from work around 7pm

Reached 70F here today, 12 degrees warmer than yesterday and easily the highest of the year so far, but it's already dropped down to 61 since the high 2 hours ago

Measured about 4.25" of compacted snow around 4 pm today in Lindenhurst, actual total was probably like 5 " - 5.5" right after the rippage stopped. Too bad that death band only lasted an hour. Picked up around 0.25" of sleet and a few hundredths of an inch of ice since then, so it's pretty slick out there, almost wiped out when I was going to my car before lol

After last night's snow event, I'm now at 25.8" of snow for February, my seasonal total is exactly 33"

Final snow total here in Lindenhurst was 1.75" , nothing too bad plus it's all melted now, but it's always fun to go for a walk at 3 am in the light snow when there's no one else out. On a side note my street was plowed more during this event than the February 1st snowstorm lol
