  1. Upton surprisingly bullish in their latest disco
  2. It was the kiss of death. I don’t recall a stretch of failed forecasts for our nape of the neck
  3. Looks like the second wave, but will it survive?
  4. Good for the twin forks. The central LI screw zone was modeled nicely
  5. It rained! For about 7 minutes, but I’ll take it
  6. August 2014 is something that I never want to relive. 13” of rain in a matter of hours. What they’re probably experiencing in NNJ etc
  7. Yep. Praying. If we fail with these PWATs I’m done. Lol
  8. Fingers crossed, but recent history suggests otherwise
  9. Got me by .13. Local stations have basically nothing east of nyc overnight
  10. You can easily see everything starting to fall apart, which Upton has in their last disco. Hope falls onto another wave to materialize overnight, which I’m not very confident about. Could be another fail for most of the island again. Pray that I’m wrong
  11. Couple of quick hitters rotating in off the ocean, but that’s not going to get it done. Encouraging though
  12. If that’s the case, take the money and run! See if it happens
  13. Or it never gets out here. Nothing moving East
  14. Some consensus that this is exactly what happens unfortunately
  15. And here we go again for LI. Rain chances going to the wayside for tomorrow.
  16. Upton HWO. Fool me once…… .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday. Showers and thunderstorms on Sunday will be capable of producing heavy downpours. This may result in flooding of urban, low lying or poor drainage areas, and small streams and creeks. At this time, the best chance for heavy rainfall will be Sunday afternoon and night as a frontal wave along a stalled out boundary potentially moves into the area. There is still a decent amount of uncertainty where the axis of heaviest rainfall will set up. The western half of the area is in a slight risk for Excessive Rainfall with a marginal risk elsewhere.
  17. https://nypost.com/2023/07/04/school-of-sharks-closes-down-long-islands-robert-moses-beach-on-july-4th/ most exciting event of the day for the south shore
  18. Stony Brook and the forks looking like they will cash in soon
  19. For maybe 3% of their coverage area.
  20. Wrong! I was just outside, and I felt a rain drop! Lol Most of us are suffering from battered weather syndrome. We keep getting skunked, but can’t seem to figure out that things aren’t going to get better, so we keep going back. Mother Nature is one fickle btch
