Time flies. We just started the A-frame this summer so this is actually the first trip out there without a tent. Gonna be nice. No kids, just my wife and she knows what she signed up for, and generally gets excited for camping stuff as well.

Euro is on board for the first week of December storm.

I doubt chains are necessary if you're staying on maintained paved roads but they're relatively cheap and never hurt to have in the back of the car. The only reason I picked mine up is that we have about a mile drive up the side of Meadow Mountain to get access up to our property on the ridge and none of it is maintained. So I want to make sure I can get up to the ridge in the dark Friday night (3k ft elevation). And then back down if necessary on Sunday in a foot+ snow. I got mine from tirechain.com. Prices are reasonable and shipping overnight is fast.

That was Christmas 2022 and I think we were -20F in the tent with wind hills of -43F at one point. This probably won't be quite that epic, plus our A-frame is framed up and insulated, though we only have electric to the meter so I'm just gonna bring an electric space heater to plug in. Thankfully no tents this time.

Just saw that! We are locked in here, snowblower is in the truck and snow chains come tomorrow.

Euro is definitely more muted than the GFS. If I can get my snow fix out of the way before Thanksgiving this year I'll be pretty happy. We'll be at just over 3k ft elevation, hopefully we get mostly snow.

We're setting the stage for another IronTy play-by-play epic winter outing. Hopefully this one won't be as bad as the -30F Christmas winter campout two years ago.

Still looks good to me. I ordered my snow chains and and also plan on throwing my 30" two stage snow blower in the back of the truck in case we gotta fight our way in/out. We're gonna find out how good g wagons are in the snow. But most likely since I'm prepping so good it'll just be windy and flurries.

I'm supposed to be going up there next weekend to check in on construction progress and am getting pumped at the possibility. Thinking I need to get some snow chains for the G just in case.
