  1. Especially twilight feeding time. Just missed one on Harned by the Saw Mill.
  2. But you have to head back in an hour earlier, so...
  3. Sullivan County Tornado confirmed by someone on ground. Meanwhile back on LI, after a break in the overcast around 930am, quick- 2-minute- downpour just dropped 0.05", bringing total up to 0.74". Would expect to exceed 1 " here.
  4. Well said. Cold-core low. That alone should dispel any argument.
  5. Totally agree. Hostile environment. So if the 5pm Scatterometer analysis does not find Tropical-Storm force winds, will it attain or tie a record for the shortest-lived named storm?
  6. Yes, last night ~935pm LIE exits 40-51 moderate shower.
  7. Not impossible to get a long-term drought, but not too likely given the convergence of storm tracks in our area.
  8. Check out FOX Weather PARK'D Rocky Mountain National Park on a search engine. At least 2 videos. Also on weekend evenings the show PARK'D airs on FOX Weather. I have seen RMNP and others as they repeat. Good luck, enjoy!
  9. O.24" I dreamt I measured 1.61" and thinking nobody will believe it. But alas it was not so. Did help the garden though. Nice to get another 1/2 inch by Sunday.
  10. 49° "Summer's Going Fast Nights Growing Colder" Time Stand Still Rock Group Rush Although I concur some point around Mid-September will probably get to at least 85°.
  11. Going to guess at this; JFK is probably <1 mile from Jamaica Bay and beyond that obviously has a longer fetch seabreeze off of the larger and much deeper Atlantic Ocean. HVN is further from the coast and can have a fetch of ~20 miles, Long Island Sound is not as deep. I believe in the area of 65 feet for the central area. Maybe the Sound Breeze takes longer to develop and thus HVN can have a higher maxima before the onset. Other than that, I got nuttin'.
