  2. 41° New boiler failed on 1st heat attempt. Heat just came on but boiler making unusual noise.

  4. This was 2 days before I was getting married. I was in Queens and only lost phone service. Winds appeared stronger as Gloria exited. My bride-to-be in Hicksville lost power and was flipping out until it was restored 21 hours before the ceremony. The 29th was such a beautiful,warm day- 81°. Honeymooned upstate and remember seeing newspaper reports of parts of Long Island being w/o power 9 days later.

  8. Glad I watered garden. Only received .03" of -RA and -DZ. As was the case during last year's dry August, birds cleaned out the gutters looking for water. If WPC has a better handle then maybe 2" + Sun night through Thurs night.
