  1. I don’t remember, but this seems different, but obviously wouldn’t be surprised to stay under 95 the whole time.
  2. This is possibly the most significant heat wave since 2012.
  3. NWS still holding dropped Monday to 94, but raised Tues-Thursday to 97.
  4. Looks like Thursday and Friday could be even hotter than early in the week.
  5. Newest NWS discussion mentions that if dew points stay in the low to mid 60s we have a chance at approaching 100 degrees. Wild to even see them mention that.
  6. Sounds like the Central PA crew is skeptical of 90s based on the GFS. How plausible is that outcome verbatim?
  7. While I don’t expect a full week of 90s a few days seems likely. NWS not really backing down yet on mid 90s Monday and Tuesday, and now Wednesday for that matter, 96, 94, 94. Monday would be a record hight. Will be interesting. Also, looks rather dry too (as in very little rain, not saying lower humidity).
  8. NWS point and click has KPIT at 94 for Monday. Not to say it will get there, but to see a temperature that high this far out is wild. Weather Channel has 9 consecutive days at or above 90, with a peak of 96. That'd be the longest June heat wave ever, I believe.
  9. Welp, we'll see, but true summer may be upon us.
  10. Well, we know that long range heat is almost never as high as it appears, but upper 80s could be possible.
  11. Looks like a pretty cool start to summer after today.
  12. Luckily, a big miss with the severe storms last night.
  13. Yeah, they were way off. That’s why those long range outlooks really aren’t worth even putting out.
  14. I don’t remember having so many tornadoes in a season in the area, but it also seems the events are so very isolated instead of large area wide severe events. Very strange weather patterns this season.
  15. Yeah, it’s interesting to read, but Erie being hot and wet and Philly being hot and dry and the rest of the state is cool and dry, makes no sense, lol.
  16. Our average high this time of year is around 70, This week doesn't really look 10 above average. And if a majority of them month is below average, in my eyes it's below average, lol. I doubt it will be three weeks of below average though. Honestly, they shouldn't even put out those long range predictions, they almost always change.
  17. CPC is looking like cooler than average from the 10th through the end of the month (from their May 3rd prediction). In direct contradiction to their April 30th prediction of an above normal May. We'll see how it shakes out.
  18. Really amazing that the 2nd half of April recorded less than .3” of rain and we still ended up among the wettest April’s. Was a really nasty first half, nice second half. Wonder if we could see our 90s May drought end this year.
  19. Pretty benign. Was windy before the rain started. Have some pretty common thunder and lightning. Run of the mill here, and that’s fine. Not the case everywhere I assume.
  20. Might actually get nasty this evening. The extra sun probably helped the instability.
  21. The line around Slippery Rock looks vicious, but looks like Allegheny largely misses the worst as they slide south east. Thats good to me, already lost power twice today with the, don't want to see damage or more rain at this point. We just don't need it.
  22. Absolutely perfect out there right now. Looks like our first 80 degree day of the year. Feels nice with the low dew points too.
