  1. What do we need to see out of the storm Thursday and Friday near the coast to know if we’ll be in good or bad shape with this one? And where are we with that one?
  2. Bet it will, but hopefully, we see the final hours moving west a bit more.
  3. Figured we should be in that period of time where they will start to tick East then west. Hopefully, nothing too drastic.
  4. I can't imagine with the trends that this goes from suppressed and out to sea all the way to Great Lakes Cutter, so I'd imagine the western limit is approaching, and eastern corrections should start soon, doesn't mean it won't come back, but the wobble mode is probably at hand.
  5. I'm definitely worried about that too. Still looks like ensembles have room to move west before it's too much though.
  6. Yeah, that's still not a bad run. We can't expect to see 18"+ on every run, need to temper expectation, lol.
  7. That's what is keeping me cautiously optimistic. Ensembles aren't as far west, but ticking into good territory.
  8. KDKA gave the same line, but showed the GFS, no totals though, obviously.
  9. That kind of track has to be due again though. At some point. Weather Channel point and click is up to 4-6" on Sunday from about 1-3". Hopefully this ticks west and then corrects perfectly for us.
  10. I heard if the high pressure is east of Maine it will likely push the storm more inland. I think we want some high east of Maine, just have to figure out about how far will help us the most.
  11. Trending the right direction. Plus, precip fields tend to be bigger anyway.
  12. The temps during the storm were low to mid 20s so pretty good ratios.
  13. Verbatim, the GFS would be the second biggest snowstorm on record. Kuchera snowfall is 26.4". So, we know that isn't happening, lol.
  14. The newest GFS is insane. Too far out, but hopefully it's sniffing something out.
  15. Temperatures actually felt quite a bit lower than predicted. At least 3 degrees lower. Interesting.
  16. Another .9” yesterday, so a 2.4” storm total. down to at least 7 this morning. Nice and wintry.
  17. I'd say with the snow activity this morning we had to have gotten another .5" to get to 2" officially for this event. Sad that 2" is exciting in January, but here we are. Only last year we were talking about over 6" numerous times.
  18. It is nice to get snow when it's 15 degrees out. Pretty rare here to get it that cold and snowing.
  19. 1.5" officially at the airport, as of yesterday. Still snowing decently right now.
  20. Almost 2” on the cars. I’d say it’s a success. Still snowing too.
  21. Yeah, that's probably a better description. They need to do a bit better.
  22. NWS here is super conservative. They put WWA up rarely it seems. Many times they should they don't.
  23. I mean, yeah looks like we're getting something. The short range models have been kinder today than yesterday, but so close to a 5"-er.
