    Little nervous the air temp is 28, but I guess it's not too bad as it's 1pm.

    Talk from other websites and Mets on Twitter that upper air patterns are showing that the storm could move more easterly.

    NWS upped the expect total again to 11.7”. Airport would be over a foot.

    I don't think so. It's one day above freezing, and the rain is supposed transition to snow.

    It also has apparently been colder and snowy than expected in the south. Could mean the storm is colder aloft too.

    Does the colder than expected temperatures in the east and south help keep the storm colder overall?

    This storm track defies the odds and the game last week certainly did. Anything is possible. I'm just shocked at the totals shown. 8" for the low end, what?! And a 50% of more than a foot! Crazy.

    Really happy to see the NWS continuing to increase totals. Never saw a forecasted total that high. This has to a special one, just has to.

    January ‘94 is looking very similar to the models.

    Yes! This feels a bit different than 2019, not totally sure why, but it does. Doesn't mean we don't mixing, but doesn't seem as harsh as that.

    Great look to the HRRR. Getting excited.

    HRRR looks good so far. Multiple hours of 1-2" per hour rates.

    NWS has no Ice accumulation forescast.

    If Pittsburgh's flirting with a foot, 7 Springs should get there, again barring any dry slotting or mixing issues.

    Razors edge on that first frame, but that's all we need.

    Dry slot on the Euro still sort of there (an area of light snow, but it is generally filled in). Didn't look like any mixing, though the 6 hour increments are too long, in my opinion. Much better looking for sure.
