  1. I thought we would do it too, when I saw it bottomed out at 75 then rose to 76, only to drop to 72. 72, if that's the low is still pretty warm. But 82 at 3 am is still really wild. Wonder how many times it was that warm at that time of night? Can't be many.
  2. Lingering morning clouds are never good for 90s here, lol. The high starting temps can help though. Will we make it today?
  3. I'm actually surprised to see such a high forecasted low. Mid 70 lows, like mid 90 highs are tough to get here.
  4. Forecast is for 74 tonight. If we get rain and storms like is forecasted, I'd bet we fall below 74 though.
  5. Way under performed highs today. At least by 5 degrees from this morning's forecast.
  6. Right extreme heat is rare here, which is why it doesn't seem our summer extremes are really getting much warmer.
  7. I wouldn't even go that far. Plenty of time between now and Friday, and I'm sure there have been 93s that turned into 89s, lol.
  8. But our extremes are getting higher somehow, lol.
  9. Pretty much as I expected, Friday looks to be the only day to hit 90 out of this period. Crazy it goes from potentially 4 to probably 1. Just not our summer for heat again.
  10. If there's one day that looks like a 90 degree day, right now it's Friday. NWS forecasts 93.
  11. Looks like maybe some heat this week. We'll see how it shakes out.
  12. Considering the highest highs don’t seem to be getting higher, overall no, but maybe July is getting less extreme while the averages get incrementally warmer.
  13. We’ll see, we’ve been coming up short quite a bit this summer. This week though was warmer than I expected. So, maybe.
  14. Still running 1-2 degrees ahead of yesterday. 90 is possible, but the clouds are rolling in. It'll be a race.
  15. We got 89-ed, but that was a surprise. With tomorrow forecasted to be warmer, maybe we hit 90.
  16. Yeah, June looked warm to start, then tanked. And if the belief is smoke continues to pour down here below average looks like a better bet to me.
  17. Update to this. Summer 2009 had a below average June and July and an exactly average August. But 2004 was the last year that each summer month was below the averages.
  18. Wonder if we have a wall to wall cool summer? Must be a while since that happened.
  19. Just really strange. Four weeks of more likely below average turns out above average for the month, lol.
  20. CPC's most recently monthly outlook for July (released June 30), has higher chances of above average temperatures for July. Every other extended outlook (6-10 day, 8-14 day, and 3-4 week out to July 28th) has higher chance of below normal temps. How can they be that at odds with themselves? No fear though, they are locked into rainier than normal for the month on every outlook.
  21. Yeah, really laughable how poorly this smoke and weather pattern was forecast. Wish we could get that drought weather back, but alas we’ll probably have a top ten wet July, just because, lol.
