  1. Yeah, looks like dew points stayed lower than expected. That's ok though, less humid is always good.
  2. Sometimes you gotta reverse psychology the weather. At least that's what I'm calling it, lol.
  3. Did you you 7" or 8" during the Winter Storm Warning? You might get mad at the use of a heat advisory when the heat index might not reach the 100 degree threshold.
  4. That is interesting. If we make it today that's 90 degree days in the last three Julys, when we should average 12 in that span. Well below average.
  5. We can, but like I said a struggle for sure, it it's going to be an easy 90 here even when it looked almost certain. It's not our forte that's for sure. Yesterday if the clouds cleared earlier and same for today, probably wouldn't have been a question to getting to 90, but we can't buy clear skies on these type of days.
  6. I will say it is remarkable that in the all-time hottest month ever, in hundreds or thousands of years, based on 44 years of data, don't even ask a damn question about that stat, Pittsburgh still will struggle and maybe fail to reach 90 on a surefire day to do so. It is very impressive.
  7. Gonna be tough to get there today. 82 at 11am isn't a great place for 90 and with relatively heavy cloud cover that's not helpful.
  8. Bad start for 90 again today. Even light drizzle in town this morning. Pittsburgh weather never fails to fail expectations.
  9. 5 m in obs say 90, but we'll see if it's a rounding thing or legit.
  10. Surprised AGC is that much lower too. Weird day.
  11. Sensor is 100% messed up look at 1:05 to 1:10, 75 to 84. Has peaked at 85 for 1:51 then 1:55 went back to 75. Wonder what's up? Edit: Now it's up to 88. If we somehow manage 90 today, that be insane, lol. I expect 62 in the next update.
  12. NWS ran with the 75 reading. That is their 1pm update. Odd they would consider that accurate, unless it really is that cool there. I'd be shocked if it was correct.
  13. That's what I wonder too. It hung onto 72 for the longest time this morning as well. Something always seems to be up with their sensor, lol.
  14. Lol, KPIT went from 82 to 77 from 12:05 to 12:15. Huge miss for today. Edit: down to 75 at 12:20. Is it raining there? It doesn't mention rain. But 88 in Ambridge? Really 80s everywhere, except to plunging temps at KPIT, lol.
  15. On the 5 minute obs, KPIT is lagging so far behind the rest of the area. Most places are recording upper 70, low 80s, KPIT is at...73. No 90s today.
  16. Oh, yeah gotcha. Got the timing wrong. Anyway, clouds are hanging on a little too long I think. My guess is a peak at 88 again.
  17. That was a hot day. I thought it was 97 that day, but either way. Yeah, impressive though to top out at 88 and still cling to 82 at 3 am. Not a bad showing, lol.
  18. I thought we would do it too, when I saw it bottomed out at 75 then rose to 76, only to drop to 72. 72, if that's the low is still pretty warm. But 82 at 3 am is still really wild. Wonder how many times it was that warm at that time of night? Can't be many.
  19. Lingering morning clouds are never good for 90s here, lol. The high starting temps can help though. Will we make it today?
  20. I'm actually surprised to see such a high forecasted low. Mid 70 lows, like mid 90 highs are tough to get here.
  21. Forecast is for 74 tonight. If we get rain and storms like is forecasted, I'd bet we fall below 74 though.
