  1. Ron Smiley seems bullish on a relatively extended period of fairly heavy snow Sunday afternoon into Monday morning.
  2. You’re joking right? Places across Europe have seen a very early start and colder than normal start to winter. There is literally nothing to suggest that winter will never act like it again. Our time will come again. The hysterics are wild.
  3. Even an inch would be nice, just to see the ground whiten up a little, before the bulk of winter sets in.
  4. Way to be a downer, lol. At least something to watch at this point.
  5. From things I’ve been seeing it seems the global models are trending toward are colder winter overall. Also it doesn’t seem like the El Niño is as strong as expected.
  6. A few things we should all keep in mind as this season starts: -We will see plenty of fantasy range storms with 1'-2' for us. We should enjoy the maps, but know it's unlikely. -We should be thankful for anything that falls, even if it just nickel and dimes us all season. -We shouldn't hang on every run, and let it ruin our days. I'm at least telling myself this already, lol.
  7. Agree. Looks like the models are trending towards a cooler second half of December. Hopefully, that is true. We’ll see.
  8. Maybe something to watch on the 6th? GFS 12z run had about 4".
  9. Early December rarely is good. Let’s get it out of the way and hope for better stuff in the latter parts of the month.
  10. Officially the first morning in the teens. 19 this morning and .3” of snow yesterday.
  11. Officially had .1" of snow yesterday, I expect we'll see some accumulation today, even though it will be miniscule.
  12. We still have December. Wouldn't be too worried yet. Let's get the cold weather in then we can get snow. Seems the biggest issue we have in our current pattern is it's too dry, but if cold outbreaks happen maybe we can get some lake effect. I mean it is only November 26th, give it a chance.
  13. Maybe something Sunday into Monday? Edit: Maybe not, lol.
  14. It’s unlikely to look like last year either, so that’s a win.
  15. Still time to trend colder, these things fluctuate. But 2020 was a good winter, I’d take a repeat.
  16. No it's weird for sure, but showing the temps around the area this morning, showed many different pockets of warm and cool air. Must have been cloudy in certain areas. It made much more sense than seeing a few weeks ago, everywhere around 32 except KPIT at 37.
  17. Just out of curiosity, why would our region be removed from the abnormally dry category on the US Drought monitor? Over the last week we've had nearly no rain and really the last three weeks we've had nearly none. How could we fall out of abnormally dry, especially with fire weather conditions today? I mean we're nearly 8" below average for rain this year, and almost 3" below for the Fall.
  18. Dropped to 28 this morning, will be wild that it will rise nearly 40 degrees today, just due to dry conditions and not a front.
  19. Exactly. Currently, though it is very desert like right now.
  20. Been trending that direction lately. Too bad it’s still so early.
  21. Ron Smiley shows 40 and snow showers on Sunday. That was a big change from last night when 50 was forecast.
