  1. Yeah, my point is I’m not sure anything will suffice at this point. You find the negative in every situation.
  2. The airport has started reporting snow mixing with the rain. Though it is still warm, that seems earlier than expected.
  3. I’m not sure you or Tim would be satisfied with anything. We could get 3” and you guys would still bitch that it wasn’t 4.
  4. Yeah, this is definitely a band dominant event. Hopefully, we’ll get lucky.
  5. Now even accurate anymore, it updated higher, lol. Point and click from the NWS even says 1-2” on Monday night.
  6. Is Weather Underground even reliable? Their stuff always seemed to be off. Plus, the NWS upped the totals in Pittsburgh from .7” to 1.1”, with the upper range back to 3”. Yeah, the short range models are more important now.
  7. Hmmm, you seem to have lost your sense of humor since last winter. Try to find it again, or it's going to be an excruciating season. Don't look at the advisory map, you'll lose your mind. Though KPIT is always as late as possible to hoist any kind of advisory, not that this would likely be advisory level. Also, it doesn't looks like any of the shorter term models have taken us out of the game, so I'm still riding.
  8. The nature of this event would suggest the predictions will go back and forth. Hell, every event the totals flucuate. Don't take the bridge yet. Or you could move if you hate it here so bad, lol.
  9. Very sorry for the annoying-ness of some of the Pittsburgh posters. I will apologize on all our behalfs. It is very doom and gloom over there (also very annoying), it shouldn't be brought to other threads.
  10. You’ll be happy to see the NWS is up to 1.6” as a prediction and the upper level 3”. Good trend.
  11. You can see they expect bands from the lakes by the look of the map. Should be changes and maybe surprises in some places. Accuweather going with 1-3" at 66% chance.
  12. At least they are always very accurate with their forecasts, especially in the last 24 hours of one, lol.
  13. Guess we should just close up this winter thread then and open the Spring one, since this winter’s over. Darn.
  14. HRRR seems to have trended more west, for what it's worth. Really, it's not worth much at this point, as it's not our system, but maybe that bodes well for the season when we sit on an western edge. We'll see, or we'll get nothing all winter.
  15. We're literally like 4-5" below average right now, not 20". We know crappy Decembers don't mean a crappy winter (see '14-'15. This is not a really snowy time of year normally anyway, I mean it is December the 10th, can we give it even a little bit of a chance at this point?
  16. Eventually we'll get something. It likely won't be 2 feet, but a couple inches will come. Though some think it'll never snow again, lol.
  17. Meanwhile the GFS 6z has 2 feet following by Christmas Day, lol.
  18. Well, he showed an entire model run that backed it. Can’t remember which one he usually uses, so…
