i don’t think that the GFS solution is likely by any means, but it certainly is a possibility
DIT growing a mullet is a possibility.

Lack of snow has some going over the edge. Something will surprise us in the next couple weeks.
Short weather?

Temp 53F and if we had any kind of sun I am sure I would be pushing 60F. Pack is gone for the most part.

I wonder if NW RI is a sneaky spot for this event assuming it comes far enough north
The zone from N Windham County into NW RI over to Franklin Ma always seems to do well

A spring like 46F this am and about .65” of rain; not sure my pack will survive

Thaws upon thaws, and thaws that compete with other thaws.
I guarantee my thaws will be more thawier than your thaws.I just want to be able to wash the shite off my car!

It is hard to be patient but the same has been showing up and some form or another for several days now I think on all the ensembles and the weeklies? You have to think we get a good stretch of winter with several chances, perhaps after February 5 maybe for a month. Patience is hard, but it could be rewarded with a nice stretch of winter before a muddy spring.
up here it hasn’t been too bad this eeinter. as we’ve had lots of stretches with at least a few inches of snow on the ground that has stuck around and made for great walks in the woods. I know it’s been a lot tougher in southern New England.
I would also say we have been wet for so many months we are due for a prolonged stretch of dry weather. Now does that come in February or is it this spring or summer??

@The 4 Seasons an 1” of slop over night and temp 32F

Just drove from Canterbury back home, moderate snow and just starting to stick on the roads; temps marginal at 32F

Snowing now.
37F and some flakes mixed I with the drizzle, bring on the rain and warmer temps to finish the melt

"Torching" down here to start, already 38° and raining steadily, forecast was 34. Good luck up north.... Looks we need we need to wait until at least the 2nd week in February down here for anything wintry....
42F here in E CT, not expecting much in the way of frozen here

Low of 32F so far this morning off a high of 40F, not sure how much frozen we see the next few days.
-
Very nice recovery here today from 5F to 40F

That could be an issue with icing since aloft has warmed by then. Still a lot of light precip/drizzle around for that, so if you cold tuck into the upper 20s, that could get ugly.
Might be the pike north, after being at 5F two hours ago I am at 27F so will the warm air win out at lower levels down here?

Pretty decent rebound on temps, I was hovering around 5-6F just about an hour ago and now up to 20F
-
Decent cold this morning before the thaw, down to 6F so far this morning; coldest of the season.

50’s for a couple days this week and nights above freezing . Elephant man hideous stuff coming
At least we can wash the shite off our cars

Down to 10F so far this morning, with 2” of glacier left on the ground it we’ll see if it has staying power
Monitoring the 29th/30th for significant impact coastal redevelopment - confidence only medium for now but is trending favorably.
