    Doesnt the GFS have the tendency to leave too much precipitation behind arctic fronts and also be a little too strong with cold pushes? Its being consistent but I find it hard to believe we'll be 19 degrees at 1PM. I buy a quick burst of snow for the N&W elevation areas but Im pretty skeptical a bout the metros and low lands cashing in on much of a changeover

    The issue initially isnt the dewpoint. You seem to be focused on that. Dewpoint doesnt effect preciptation types. Warm noses do.

    Theres absolutely nothing that points to 5-6 hours of snow/sleet for anyone so good luck with that...

    I think the point is that north and west of 95 with continuing elevation will have worse conditions generally speaking. So if you're 5 miles west and the elevation is relatively low still, probably similar impacts to I95 and S/E

    We know how this goes...the Downtown City itself and along SE of 95 with no elevation will get little to no ice. As you go progressively northwest with some elevation, there will gradually be more ice. Elevation and away from the bay based.

    Its basically as if we actually have too much blocking in the north atlantic but not enough in Central Canada to force storms to track further south and not deal with these Miller B's/coastal redevelopments.

    Jesus the Euro hangs a damn low off the coast thru Wednesday. The shore is potentially going to get a very long period of onshore winds. Can we get this setup in winter? haha

    Seems like midday modeling is leaving energy behind ian and developing a low early next week...Ocean City could have a very long period of onshore flow there, might be a lot of flooding.

    Well it has been great for them the past 4 years....cheap and a pretty low annual maintenance fee. But yes, there is going to be a special assessment.

    Sad, I went there for my 30th birthday, stayed at Sandcastle Beach resort which is basically right behind the square. My parents loved it so much they bought a timeshare. Were supposed to go down today. Not sure whats going to happen with that place now.

    It was, wish the modeling would have held. I think some people got a sense of security when the track supposedly shifted north into the big bend area. Unfortately thats just how it goes with forecasting.

    Checked in with some friends who live in Cape Coral...no power or internet obviously but they live far enough off the river I guess that their canal did not flood the street. They live on SE Tenth Ave. Carport is destroyed though which probably led to some car damage but they are alive and well so thankful for that

    Yeah it’s just a pit lol. Seems like everyone around does well at some point but not here. I just saw a pic on 95 in Elkton and it looks like blizzard conditions. Don’t quite get why I never got it here

    I hear ya but I also think there’s something going on with the column for some of us too…radar says it should be snowing halfway decent at my house but it’s literally just a few flurries. I think I’ve had trouble with the snow growth zone and maybe a pesky warm layer or two. Even the decent snow a half hour ago seemed to be rimmed pretty good

    Interestingly enough back to just flurries. At least I saw a decent snowfall even if just for 15 mins. Dusting on grass, cars and mulch.

    Finally a nice scenery with snow blowing sideways. Some light covering on mulch piles and just a little on grass. Not much but it’s something I guess. If we got this earlier this morning might have got a couple inches
