That's the problem...there are TONS of terrible drivers around. And I will diasgree to a point, some of these new vehicles are supplied with tires that have no business out in a winter storm no matter how good a driver you are.
I'll tell you, I've seen this before. Up here I'll be really surprised to see any more than an inch...if that. Unless we see a push north I'm not expecting much.
We used to do better with two wheel drive and snow tires. I see tons of expensive all wheel drive cars stuck because they can't be bothered to buy true winter tires. Someone tells them they have all season tires and think they're good. All seasons for the most part are a joke in true winter weather
Never gone...careful! It's addictive! And modern sleds with the motorcycle riding position are SO comfortable compared to years ago. I gave up riding four years ago because of a new house, marriage etc and can't wait to own sleds again...someday
LOL the NAM can't even extrapolate itself close to the end of its range. Seeing the Euro more than double down from 12z has definitely caused me to keep one eye on this for now
4 inches in Westfield right at the changeover, looks like there was about the same in Simsbury before the sleet and rain. Feels tropical now, up to 35 degrees
I keep looking at it and thinking the exact same thing. I hate to even say this but even taking a peek at the water vapor Loop just bolsters that feeling. You'd swear that push coming over the Great Lakes would have some influence...
True. I think the average person seems to remember wall to wall snows of yore, and the weather enthusiast will remember the rafters. I started following the weather in 1978 so pretty much seen it all!
Definitely. Cold..storm comes and cuts, then cold returns. Except what was it 1990? We were wearing T Shirts while rough wiring a house in February. No cold and I think BDL had 16 inches the whole season
More like the 80s winters are back. This is just like a lot of that garbage that I saw back then. I think a lot of the youngsters here just aren't old enough to remember...or were even born
True. However they are still on the service side of the equation, and what they've done to that company is unbelievable...although the American way it seems. They are so incredibly top heavy with very few service and repair employees left.
