  1. Sleet and snow in Westfield with a whole coating down. 28 degrees. Looks like its about done.
  2. 30 degrees in Westfield with moderate freezing rain and a little sleet. Starting to droop the evergreens slightly. NO sign of any snow
  3. Of course it is...how old is the earth. Been going on a very long time. I feel many forget that because of media and monetary narratives Edit: Sorry, I thought I was in the banter thread!
  4. I won't argue with that...seen it many times. That's why the year round school talk only ever gets so far
  5. It's been shown thru the you know what that remote learning is about as useful as teats on a boar hog
  6. They actually consider the parents work situation...
  7. Gotten soft is a MASSIVE understatement. Also, unfortunately lawyers inform the closings now more than the weather many times
  8. Is there a link somewhere for statewide temp readings? I've never been able to find one
  9. Oh I'm not saying it wasn't a good call for at least northern areas...I actually hit a couple patches on my way into the office this morning. I do seriously doubt that the southern half to third will be below freezing before close to dinner time, but we'll see
  10. The premise of the statement may be...but there's a ton of truth to the actual statement. Look at the E car thing. It's a completely stupid solution to a problem that will make the typical people a ton of money while just creating tons of other problems. There are green ways to work with what we have already, but it doesn't fit the new big oil (E) narrative.
  11. 34 and heavy rain here. Side yard now has a lake where snow was yesterday...
  12. Down again to 38.4 Unfortunately anemometer not working so no wind direction
  13. Was 44 here in Westfield around 2, its down to 42 now with heavy fog. Must be the increase in precip
  14. Don't forget the runners diarrhea...spewing it at anyone nearby
  15. I wonder what the high end is for sleet accumulation in this general area (SNE) I think it was in '08 or so when I had my plow route we had two separate storms with lots of sleet, most I'd ever seen. One was like 3 inches
  16. That brings back bad memories of January '96. Mom's basement was a swimming pool, as feet of snow melted all too quick. Then within a couple weeks it looked like the melt never happened
  17. It's too early to be using the NAM for anything other than trends anyway...and even for that. Look at the last storm LOL
