    that was a shit the blinds happy hour. At least the last couple weekends its been cold up in the mountains, now it appears we're gonna get driving rainstorms.

    Inch or two up in Deep Creek with light snow falling. Sure beats the 33 and rain from last night.

    Yea looks like some snow for the weekend. The last three weekends havent been bad since every friday we get some upslope. then it gets washed away during the week! Skiing hasnt been bad, but nothing like a normal winter. Lake is only barely frozen in the coves.

    We got like an inch Friday night and now its either washed away or turned to slush in shaded grassy areas. Supposed to turn back to snow tomorrow. Just one of those crappy winters.

    It started as an engineering project 20 years ago even when we were getting a decent amount of snow. It has come in handy during the sad years!

    @psuhoffman It doesn't attach to my lawn mower but it does make snow . If you get desperate for a snow fix I can show you how I made it. Helps keep the kids happy during snow droughts.

    You need to cut your grass on the lowest setting in the fall. I believe this technique has been discussed around here before.

    With the addition of the 7th playoff team its easier than ever to reach the playoffs in the NFL. Even without Lamar, I can see the team winning at least 8-9 games. I don't see an as easy path for the Os.

    27F and light snow in Deep Creek, half inch on the ground. Local roads were pretty sketchy, little bit of ice under the snow.

    bwisnow.pdf (weather.gov) Apparently BWI had 13.3" in January last year. I remember one decent storm (looking back at my pics). I think we got around 8" here in Ellicott City.

    Yup temps stay reasonable, not a deluge of rain, and temps crash as the front comes through. Hopefully a couple inches of natural plus excellent snowmaking for a couple days.
