  1. Amazingly missed out on all the evening action. Lots of lightning though
  2. Just 0.02” here so you’re not alone
  3. I’ll tell y’all this much: winning a playoff series in that manner can only be good going forward. Grinding out close games with the pressure firmly on as the high seed and pushing back when the game felt over was amazing. Also- Aho getting going is a good sign
  4. 93.3 for the high. 0.01” of rain from a storm that skirted us but had 2 extremely close lightning strikes, one while it was sunny out and close enough to see the flash still
  5. I think this series is an aberration. Nashville’s goaltending is keeping them alive. Their game plan to promote frequent stoppages in play, liberal use of icing, and solid defense are frustrating to a team that is one of the fastest and free flowing teams in the league. Our offensive rhythm has been disrupted by the slow methodical style Nashville plays with and our inability to get pucks through Saros is frustrating. I truly think if we could just get on the board early or get a two goal lead that would force Nashville to play with more tempo we’d see the team we watched all season come back. Unfortunately in the playoffs what we’re watching is a pretty common style and flow so we have to win ugly sometimes if we want to win the whole thing
  6. 0.49” of badly needed rain. 92.2 before clouds rolled in
  7. Watching 8 hours of hockey and having to witness 2 double OT heartbreakers is pretty brutal considering the series start. I’m still optimistic heading home again but this is an absolute must win. Feels like a homer series where no team will win away from home
  8. 91.2 imby. Warmest reading of the year. Still rising
  9. Hot, humid, dry. First 90 degree day of the year
  10. Made me laugh. Needed to after that game tonight
  11. Imo it should have stayed that way, though from an impact perspective I understand why to group them together with tropical systems as they share the same impacts.
  12. Cloudy, cool with light rain. Currently 62.1 after a low of 61.9. No measurable rainfall yet
  13. 0.03” of rain overnight. Currently mostly cloudy with a temp of 76.5 and very pleasant outside. I know the hot weather is coming but it’s hard to complain with this March-First half of may as temps have been cool or seasonal most days and we have seen all the sunshine you could ask for. Definitely becoming concerned with drought conditions, though
  14. Happy so see they revised Raleigh’s average annual snowfall down almost an inch, lowers the bar even more for an average snowfall winter!
  15. We finished April with 0.96” an are sitting at 0.82” in May so far. Yard is actually fine and I haven’t started watering as I think the lack of heat has been saving grace. Still haven’t hit 90, which looks to be ending this week.
  16. Could we be looking at our second month in a row with under 1.00” of rain? Looking insanely dry through the period. Guess where the ridge is:
  17. I believe this is the 4th record cold temperature recorded at RDU in the last month. Pretty impressive given recent history, but so typical it happens in April and may and not January or February
  18. 38.6 imby. Serious cold air for mid may!
  19. 56.7 for the high today. 0.10” of rain/drizzle. Cold and raw all day.
  20. Man, I’d take this setup back in January! Perfect for 33 degrees and cold rain... Currently a very cold 47.5 with a gusty NE wind and steady rain. 0.08” so far on the day but at least it’s steady and widespread
  21. Radar is a welcome sight this morning. Currently 56 with light rain
  22. Only 0.02” after the overnight rainfall as the storms faded and missed me to the south. 0.40”for the day though, which I’ll take!
  23. First rainfall over 0.20” in over a month. Picked up 0.38” overnight. Looks to be more to come today
  24. Going back to April 1 I have received just 1.27” of rain through today. Very, very dry here
