  1. Their mountain ops crew is one of the best in the business. Another 4-6” and the clubs will open the trails here too. Off to a better start than last winter if you can believe it.
  2. Skied it this morning. Has been a sneaky good week here, with last nights event we managed to pick up 4” since Xmas.
  3. If we're paupers what does that make the SNE folks?
  4. Picked up a surprise inch overnight. This has been a nice wintry week here, although not a lot to show for it.
  5. Both the GFS and euro trended in the right direction for this weekend at 12z. GFS solution then sends the follow up wave into the GOM thanks to a strengthening blocking high and gives coastal and downeast Maine a snowstorm on Monday. That might be one to watch for Maine folks.
  6. GFS has led the way with these last few events and then the other models came on board 48-72 hours out. Would like to start seeing some positive trends on the Euro by 0z thursday if there's any hope.
  7. Less than an inch but very festive nonetheless. .
  8. Just sleet here after an initial burst of snow
  9. I suspect so, there's some model agreement. Even 2" will be a nice refresher. GFS and euro both hint at doing it again wed-thurs. 4-7 over the next week would be a great win in this pattern.
  10. That’s a good look for my location, what do we need to lock that in?
  11. Still haven’t mixed out, 33. We CAD with the best of them here.
  12. Skiing at the river has been great this week and conditions this morning were stellar. That will change unfortunately.... be prepared for firm early season conditions with limited terrain.
  13. eyeballing a little over 2" here. Snowed all day and still flurrying, really nice wintry appeal type event. Gonna take morning off and enjoy some winter at the river before the return to early November.
  14. Meanwhile in CAD zone it’s still 34. Hard to believe we may torch to 50 in the next couple hours.
  15. This is correct. Waterville was always planned around real estate sales and development and they’ve executed well enough . I’ve skied there for some industry events and it’s a great place for that. The terrain is fine, views are fantastic, lodge is good. They’ve built just enough of a ski area to sell massive amounts of real estate to the Boston market. I’ve also attended some off season non-industry conferences there and noticed some of the original hospitality build out is getting dated though.
  16. The Attitash situation is crazy to me with the amount of beds and skier visits in the valley. Bwoods is further away and has inferior terrain but takes a lot of their business. Cranmore has invested wisely as well. Attitash should be pulling so many more skier visits but the infrastructure issues are so bad folks drive further to to Bwoods. In some ways you would think if vail would invest anywhere it would be attitash. The NoCo ski market remains huge but bizarrely lacks a flagship resort, Bwoods has really filled that void, but Attitash could take all that business back with some strategic investment ( a bubble six pack summit lift for instance). Both areas desperately need new lodges as well. Wildcat is cold as balls and really just needs to embrace the spring skiing opportunities a la ABasin - but probably will never make money IMHO.
  17. Got the tornado warning on my phone but nothing to note here. Line has already passed through with no wind and barely any precip. The curse of lava lives on. It may never snow here this winter.
  18. clouds keeping things at a cool 78/72 in downtown Bridgton.
