  1. Hi of 83.5F here. Felt like summer finally today. Nothing earth shattering though like NNE.
  2. Yes, it's why you never look at PWS dewpoints when trying to forecast for severe wx or something. Also, a lot of those "comfort" charts that were created back in the day were based on airport obs dewpoints. So when they said "anything above 65F is very uncomfortable", it really means airport dews going above 65F. I've often seen 61F at airports while its near 70F dewpoints at a lot of the PWSs.
  3. Kevin has officially given us permission to toss BDL temps for the summer....we're making a breakthrough folks!!!
  4. Euro very well might be overdone, but cranky is delusional if he thinks 70s would happen when 850 temps are -2C to -4C. IF GFS verifies with 850 temps closer to +4, you might tickle 70F in the worst torch downslope spots....and even that would be a sfc-850 lapse rate of like 11.5C/KM so you'd really need to avoid self destructing sun.
  5. Yeah I stole Kevin’s lunch money on that bet.
  6. 61/35 here. Feels like October except the sun angle is much higher. With the high sun angle, it feels pretty warm in the sun when the wind is light.
  7. You’ll love the day 8 euro...nothing like sub-540 thicknesses on 6/1
  8. Yeah it’s a “misrepresentation” to call it a cold front when you get a wind shift and temps go from near 70 into the 40s.
  9. Cleared out nicely the last couple hours and looks like we’ll get a nice sunset but it feels more like a crisp mid-October evening rather than Memorial Day weekend.
  10. 54f here. It’s been slowly tickling down all day.
  11. Overcast here and 58 now. Temp is going to keep dropping all afternoon.
  12. Dews in the 20s ripping down the Maine and NH coasts. Temp gonna fall into the 40s where there is precip. Hopefully it stays dry here. 60/30 is way more preferable to 47/43.
  13. Monday looks kind of crappy on most guidance except on the GFS.
  14. There's actually another little ripple of low pressure that tries to redevelop to the west on Monday from that 2nd little s/w diving in and give us dogshit clouds/sprinkles and east flow.....Monday could be worse than Sunday if that happens.
  15. I'll take the under on 70F west of 495 on Sunday....maybe BDL/HFD could tickle 70F...maybe. You'll be way short of that.
  16. The coastline looks like dogshit to me most of the weekend including monday. Might sneak some sun, but it's gonna be chilly.
  17. Nice taste of summer 2nd half of next week. Back to COC for start of June it looks like on ensembles....obviously all subject to change.
  18. It’s amazing how cheap you can buy some amazing views and homes if you aren’t right in a resort town up there. That view would prob cost 2 million bucks in a resort town like wolfboro or ossipee. I talked about it a bit in the thread when he was looking for that house, but I’ll def be getting a place up north a few years down the road when my kids are older. I intermittently look at the real estate up there to keep well-versed. Love your place in VT too...different style obviously but it still works. I like the “deep in woods” feel you got going on there with those tall pines around like powderfreak mentioned.
  19. Nice night shot phin. Yeah not much light pollution in Randolph. Lol. I love seeing the silhouette of the mountains in the background. I’ve always enjoyed doing short star gazing walks at night when I’m up north and seeing the dark silhouette of the mountains just adds to the vibe.
  20. Saturday high might be 9-10am. Lol
  21. PWS near me is 76/29 right now....18% RH, lol. And this neighborhood is basically in the woods.
  22. 62/32 here. Pretty tough to beat that at 6pm. Maybe I’d tack on another 6-8F but keep those Dews rock bottom.
  23. Jspin could give him a run with a good upslope season. Maybe Alex too....not 100% sure, but I think Phineas being on the side of Randolph hill there is in a slightly better spot than Alex, and them being fairly close together geographically might make it hard for Alex to get more.
