  1. Same out here. And nice and cold. 20/18
  2. Really rocking now. At least 4". Hoping for an overperformer, but will settle for a highender and we're halfway there. 20/20
  3. Small fluffy stuff. Almost 2". Expecting biggest dump between 11p-1a. Will be watching. 26/26
  4. Looks like about 2" on Casco Bay. Not much in the way of accumulation, but it sure is a cheery winter sight. Skiing tomo for sure. 33/31
  5. Fabulous Fat Fatties Frequently Fall here on Casco Bay. Rain turned to snow less than 30 minutes ago. Almost 1/2 inch out there now. Really coming down. Happy to see storm and totals upgraded for us. Car backed in, snow blower, plow and generator ready. Plenty of food and drink. We celebrate.
  6. Hi, Interested in tracking weather on Maine's Casco Bay and the local environs. What are best models for offshore islands?
  7. Let's hope so. This wet grass stuff is pretty depressing in mid-January. I don't want to see grass until late April.
  8. Grey and gloomy out here on Casco Bay. Winds 2-5. Temperature dropped 2 degrees in the last 5 minutes. Now 36/35
  9. Highest temp here today was 52 at 3:30p. now 46/45. Ice and sleet will miss us by miles.
  10. Well I can truthfully and without any possible exaggeration say there are no flakes out here. HRRR says that may change about 3am, but right now, SNE is having all the fun. Enjoy!
  11. Light beautiful little flakes here on Casco Bay. Unfortunately, just conversational snow. 24/14
  12. Works for me. Hate the agony of the melt. Could also put golf cart on the road.
  13. Yes, and it savagely attacked the muffler on our island car, leaving the damn thing barely hovering above the slush.
  14. Got into an amusing exchange at 9:50 last night (when the temp was 27) with the head of the plow crew who told me that by 2300 temps would rise to 38 degrees. Not sure where that was coming from, but I told him that wasn't going to happen. When we checked on with each other at midnight we were still sitting at 27. It is currently 33. So also will be curious because (limited background here) this storm seemed to over perform for us. Not complaining at all but would be curious why it stayed so cold so long, if that is even the right way to phrase it.
  15. Portland (and near by Long Island) do indeed get smacked. Keep it coming. At least 8" Now 28.
  16. Fascinating. You are spitting distance south of me. No sleet yet. Pretty little storm. Plow guys tell me they not happy, but are going get a lot unhappier in an hour or so.
  17. Easily 7" of fluffy stuff here on Casco Bay. Temp 27. Still coming down. Not really excited about impending sleet that seems to be appearing on the short range.
  18. Wow! Usually they get a decent drop and we get nada out here.
  19. We had a quick wash of sleet about 30 minutes ago here on Long Island/Casco Bay, but we are back to small flakes. Looks like a solid 4" of snow so far. Already done a round of snowblowing. Lovely steady snow fall. What we live for. 26
  20. Flakes *just* started here on beautiful downtown Long Island Maine, population 190 (year round). Temp dropped to 34 from 35 in the last 5 min.
  21. And we haven't had enuf, nor did it last as long as it should.
