  1. That's amazing. I have maybe 1/2 to 3/4 max here. Temps killed me. Although I don't usually do well when precip comes straight from the west. Another nickel in the bank.
  2. Now that I'm below freezing (30.6) it's starting to stick a little in the trees and on the mulch. Almost stopped a few minutes ago but back to very light snow now.
  3. Temps are still rising here. Up to 32.8 now and have barely had a flurry. Can even see the sun burning through the clouds. Looks like a southern mountain storm for sure. Enjoy folks!
  4. Just flurries here. Temps are too warm, sitting at 32.4 and rising. Went up 3 degrees overnight.
  5. That's why we stayed on the southside of town. Just felt better.
  6. Back home. Looks like I missed a wild week last week. Rain, floods, rain, southern snow, tornadoes and severe storms in SC, rain, and got home in the rain. I've had over 7 inches of rain in the last 10 days. That's very uncommon here anytime of the year. A little chilly in California but I don't think I saw a cloud the last 6 days we were there. First time in the Monterey area. Very pretty place.
  7. Enjoy the the snow folks. Looking at my security cams back home it seems to be coming down pretty good. I'm on the west coast this week watching a little golf. Watch me miss the biggest snow of the year.
  8. Wow. Had a high of 60.6 today. And a low last night of only 42.5.
  9. Can you imagine how muddy it'll be by Friday with 2 to 3 inches of rain on a completely thawed ground that is already super saturated? It ain't gonna be pretty.
  10. Same here. Temps are finally in the 20's. I hung out around 32 for several hours.
  11. This has been a decent band. It's laid down an inch in about 45 minutes and still pouring. Glad you're getting some on your trip, I mean with the hot tub and all.
  12. How many T's add up to an inch? Wondering for a friend. 3 T's = a skiff 2 skiffs = a dusting 4 dustings = an inch 1 inch = a nickel
  13. Congrats to all who are seeing snow. Just a sloppy inch or 2 here. Moderate to light rates but most all roads are fine. Just got back from Burnsville and it's really not sticking very much because of temp issues. Still waiting on a good snow.
  14. Forecasters are sticking to their guns as well: Ray... .....This weekend is becoming less murky, but the water is not entirely clear. The takeaway is "light" for any precipitation that falls and "paltry" may end up being a better description. Light rain develops tomorrow afternoon with a light rain/snow mix Friday night but snow levels are generally confined above 3500 ft. or higher. GSP... ....Based on the fcst temps, high elevations again have a chance of snow. Assuming only modest upslope enhancement to the QPF from the major models given relatively weak flow in that layer, and the relatively low mean QPF values from ensembles, totals may not even justify a high-elevation Winter Weather Advisory.
  15. Light to light/mod snow here but the temp is 33.4 so it's burning up when it hits the ground. At least there's a few flakes in the air tonight.
  16. Ha! I only got a little over two inches. By the end of this awful winter we should have enough money to buy a bag of ice melt that we won't need. In the next 2 months I'll need three 12 inch snows and a 8 incher just to get to my 30 year average. Don't believe we'll get there.
  17. Snow. Sloppy. Basically white rain. Temps just below freezing. I had a high in the teens just a couple days ago. Ridiculous.
  18. Nice winter day. Had a high today of 25.1 and had about an inch of snow. Took a long 4-wheeler ride today and it's been a while since I've seen my property this wet at this time of year. Very few areas that the ground is frozen solid. It'll be a nasty bug season if that continues until spring.
  19. Hope you have a good trip. The weather will do what it wants but it's always fun being in the mountains regardless. Enjoy.
  20. We have a Wind Advisory, a Special Weather Statement, a Hazardous Weather Outlook, and a Winter Weather Advisory in effect. I think they're as bored as we are.
