  2. Still just flurries. Temp - 22.3 Wind - 11/G16
  3. Flurries/ Brightening Skies Temp - 23.8 Wind - 9/G13
  4. Light snow showers/Flurries Temp - 25.6 Light wind
  5. Definitely a southern app storm. Much better forcing as the majority of the precip pushes through. Northern mtns will get just tradition flow snow. I'm thinking maybe more like 2 to 4 for a storm total up this way if that. Maybe a little more if some shower training sets up. It'll be be just another nickel or dime type stuff here. Next weekend could be awesome though.
  6. Measured right at 4 inches here at 7:30 this morning. It's 33.6 now and everything is starting to turn to slop. Sure wish we could get a storm in here with cold temps and falling at the end. Here's to hoping the flow turns out like we want it.
  7. I've got a nice breeze too. Gust to 24 in the last 15 minutes. We're all over the place with obs. This is not the type of storm we see too often. Usually it's more north before transfer. This thing might throw somebody a curveball tonight.
  8. A solid 2. That puts my yearly totals in the 40's in January. Much better winter than last year. I still expect a dog sometime next month. Temps are rising here too, back up to 30.4. Winds have turned to the WSW.
  9. Pound Town !!!!! An inch here and still pouring. Temp has dropped to 28.7. Gonna be nice evening.
  10. I'm glad the mud has frozen again. It was getting sloppy last week. It usually takes about 48 hours of some teens and twenties for it to get hard. I hate mud. And wind.
  11. Ended up with a wind blown 3 inches with the morning showers. Had I daytime high of 21.3 with a cold wind. Hope we have decent flow Monday.
  12. Beautiful snow falling. This thing's hauling butt, looks like the best precip will be through here in a couple of hours. I'll never hit warning criteria if it does. I've been surprised before though. We need to hook something up that where it starts as snow. I wasted a good two or three inches today from the rain. That's the second time this year.
  13. Transition is pretty much complete here but temps are above freezing (34.1). I think it might take awhile before it really starts to stick with the recent warm days and wet ground. Nice vid Moto!!
  14. We buried a 1000 gallon tank several years ago for that very reason. They top it off in November and it gets us through the winter easily. We just use propane for the furnace, stove, and hot water heater. And the genset when the power goes off. Got a mix now but I'm still at 36.2.
  15. GSP raised our totals to 3 - 6 inches with 50 mph wind gusts. Wild night ahead!
  16. ..... WHAT...Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches, with localized amounts up to 5 inches. Winds could gust as high as 40 mph, and wind chills will fall into the single digits in some locations. Winter time again. The last couple of days were rather nice though.
  17. Jeez. I'd settle for inches. .... Total snow accumulations of 5 to 8 feet are expected. Winds gusting as high as 50 mph at the lower elevations with up to 70+ mph over ridgetops with whiteout conditions.
  18. Thunder here too. You know what they say, "thunder in January, blizzard in february". I think that's what they say.
  19. Nice break from the cold today. Rained this morning but nothing much at all this afternoon, even a little sun. It's rarely 50 degrees here at 7pm in January. Tomorrow looks wonderful too but as Bucket said, it'll be sloppy. Who's putting a call map out for Thursday? Met? Ward? Moto? Grit?
  20. Still flurries and some light snow. It's cute when GSP thinks they know when flow snow ends. Bless their hearts!
  21. About 2 inches here. It's pretty brutal out now with a temp of 22.3 and a 20mph wind. What a great weekend! It has snowed pretty much nonstop for the last three days.
  22. Moderate snow. It's been so cold the last 48 hours that everything's pretty well frozen. It'll accumulate quickly tonight.
  23. Let's do it again!
