  1. Hammer time here now. Best rates of the day. Last gasp maybe? This snow is better than I thought it was going to be. I'll take it.
  2. Just measured almost 3 inches here and still have moderate snow. Looks like the last of it is about to swing through unless that piece of energy in Kentucky comes down.
  3. Just had a heavy shower. Well over an inch here, maybe two. I know it's freezing. Temp is 21.8 and the wind has really picked up.
  4. Light snow here as well. Maybe an half inch so far. It's cold (20.3) but not much wind yet.
  5. A few flurries this morning with a temp of 33.3.
  6. Old snow is nasty and hard. I like to start with a fresh, barren landscape and watch it transform into a winter oasis of fluff.
  7. A lot of my leftover snow melted today. It's time to freshen it up! Probably won't snow a whole lot this weekend but it's going to feel like winter.
  8. Snowed all day today. I picked up a couple of inches, would have been more but rose above freezing for a couple of hours. Pretty day.
  9. Flurries here. Marginal temps at 31.1.
  10. Believe it or not, I've got some decent flurries right now. And no, I'm only on my second drink. They're real.
  11. After a high today of a whopping 24.7 I'm back down to 20.6. Had just enough of a dusting last night to freshen up the snow. A beautiful day!
  12. Or maybe even a slick head. Sorry Man, I was pulling for ya today.
  13. I ended up with about 4 here and 90% percent of that came last night. Pretty much zeroed out today. A little dusting tonight so far. A nice little event but I'm like the dude that's deer hunted all his life and now just trophy hunts. He'll let the 4 and 6 pointers walk while waiting on the monster. It's elusive but it'll come by one day. Hopefully this winter.
  14. I didn't think there was going to be much flow after this storm but apparently there will be some. From GSP.... ...... Meanwhile...in the wake of the upper low, we should transition to a brief period of NW flow snow potential along the TN border through late tonight that could allow for another 1-3 inches of snow in some spots. It also looks like they're concerned that their warning was justified....... ...... Given that we have not yet reached our Winter Storm criteria in some of the mountain counties, keeping the Warning in effect along the TN border affords us the opportunity to add to our snowfall total and reach our 24 hour warning criteria, thus verifying our Warning in those zones. At any rate, with the ongoing light snow near the TN border, a public impact will remain to anyone traveling on untreated roads, which further justifies keeping the Warning in effect there.
  15. Still hanging right below freezing here but I agree. Hasn't been much more than flurries since daybreak. This has been a strange storm.
  16. https://www.resortcams.com/webcams/west-jefferson/
  17. On most of the other forums that I post on resizes it for you automatically within the site. It use to be that way here until a few years ago. Ull or not, the radar looks pretty pathetic here. I doubt it will be able to sling much moisture this far west. We shall see.
  18. Around 4 here. Light snow. Temps actually rose a little last night staying around 30. Took a little drive and the roads around here for the most part are clear. I know we get some of our best snows when temps are borderline but I love a good snow when it's 18. Unless you a have computer engineering degree you can forget it on this forum. I gave up a long time ago.
  19. I don't want to hear it! I sneezed one time on Beech and layed down a good inch 5 feet in front me. You'll be fine. Your pics tomorrow are going to be nice. Love the rock wall garden shot.
  20. Back to light snow. Temp has been rock steady at 29.7 for a while. Glad it's picking up but would still like to see that slot fill in more. Maybe it's beginning to.
  21. When you posted that water vapor image a few pages ago I thought right then that that's a lot of dry air working into this low. And a strong flow at that. Who knows. Just flurries here now. Hope you see some flakes Mark.
  22. Just as I got up to pour the second drink it started. Nothing to moderate snow in about thirty seconds. I'm also about to slip into the twenties on temps (30.1). That dryslot needs to start filling in already. We all might have an extended lull around 10 or 11. But I know nothing so....
  23. Same to ya Heath! Hope you score well with this one. Temp below freezing here now (31.2) so it's go time.
  24. Got about four fingers left of a bottle of Lagavulin 16 I opened for Christmas. Polish it off then go from there. Pam's at Mission now and said that she should be out of surgery by 5. I guess I need to tell her to head home pretty soon after, correct?
  25. I usually don't start complaining until about the third Scotch. Somewhere in the 10 to 11 pm range. But like Ashy said, it's hard watching it snow down south while it creeps north. Temp's down to 33.9 after a high of 38.9 so I think we're ok there. Smells like snow.
