Pretty much snowed all day with flurries still flying. High was 11.4 with a stiff breeze. Only 1.5 inches though for a winter total of $1.30. -

I'm not sure Joe. Apparently no one else does either, hence no replies. I think there is a semi-pro league and a Q school you can enter if you pay the entry fee. Btw, I think you're one of the best posters on the internet and I appreciate what you do. -

I'm more of a snow lover than a lover of cold. Cold, dry, and windy just doesn't do it for me. What's the difference between a "Pro forecaster" and a "Meteorologist" as labeled on this board? -

Seems like "hoping" is all we've been doing this winter. I'm getting irritated. -

To have a winter day like today in the mountains is almost as good as a nice snow in some respects. -

You can tell it's brewing. A good stew simmers for a while. Our thread will be totally different in a couple of weeks. -

A little bit of everything falling here. Temp is at 31.4 but has been rising slowly since 4 am. I still have some snow on the ground from last weekend so it's hard to tell but I don't think much of this is sticking. Looks like it'll be all rain in a hour or two. -

Not necessarily doubting it, but where is the moisture coming from for this minor event tonight? Radar shows nothing in the entire southeast. We go under a WWA in a little over 6 hours. Seems strange to me. -

It was nice to see some snow yesterday but it's still nickles and dimes. This one was a nickle. Only 2 inches here but the roads are terrible this morning. Ice all over the place. Went out for breakfast this morning and had a few white knuckle moments. We need a good storm. But it doesn't look like we'll get one for a while. Sad. -

Just had a squall to come through that was awesome. Lasted about 15 minutes and laid it down. There had to be close to a half an inch with that one. Had a solid inch or more before it so I might be closing in on a couple by now. -

Just got home to a dusting and some light flurries. It's weird watching it snow while nursing a little bit of sunburn. I haven't been in temps under 74 in ten days. I need to reacclimate. I'm cold. -

Light snow here as well. Dusting so far but it looks like there's not much moisture down stream. Nickels and dimes. We're going to the Caribbean the day after Christmas for 10 days. It might be warmer here. -

Another two incher here. Third one of the winter. We need a good snow by Christmas. It's 17.4 and looks to stay cold for a few days so at least this snow will hang around for a while which is nice. -

Nice burst of snow and "slivers" now. Not really sleet but like shiny snowflakes. It's dusted up pretty good now. -

Maybe a few flakes in the air Wed morning. Then it gets chilly for a couple of days. From GSP........ Temp profiles continue to support a wintry mix over the higher terrain Wed morning with rain transitioning to sleet then mostly snow. Snow amounts still looking less than about 2 inches with sleet and/or frz rain up to about 0.15 inches. These amounts, of course, will be highly sensitive to QPF.
