  1. Elevation made a huge difference here in MoCo. Just 200 feet above my elevation: You can see how close the heavier snow was to the valley floor. 1/4" now and melting fast, even at 1300' here in Mossy Grove.
  2. At least we aren't flooding yet. Though..... The Parallel Euro that hammered Atlanta with snow just a couple of days ago, now gives us a good start: EPS has a few concerning members, but few and far between: Some of that would be snow though, at least for Crossville:
  3. Looks like I was upgraded to a Winter Storm Warning overnight. That's probably the real culprit, lol!
  4. We had the dreaded S winds as the sun set up here last night. It did feel a little colder than last night though. The downslope could have been a part of it, but I suspect it was a boundary layer warm nose that was banking up against the plateau. I know that sounds weird, but the Hi Res models were showing me just barely on the edge of it. NAM 3km (just as an example of what I was worried about): Just heard on the News a report of 4 inches in Wartburg. I may drive up that way later this AM to see where the line ended up being.
  5. Oh lawd! Just woke up! Rain snow mix but it must have poured snow for a few. Slushy half inch on grassy surfaces.
  6. 100% a "let's go look in the floodlight and guess" game, but looks like snow so far. Precip. rates low at this time.
  7. Higher DBZ returns aimed right at me. On high grav. beer 3 now. Will update when those returns are overhead.
  8. Some of the enhanced lift looks like it is moving out for now. Gotta wait on that juicy precip. near Huntsville now, at least for us plateau folks.
  9. According to the closest weather station it is still around 41/27. Not sure if it is accurate. Def. feels colder now. If that is accurate though, the boundary layer must be pretty shallow. No mix. Just light, but wet, snow.
  10. Rut Roh Raggy, EB may be in trouble: @CG2 @kvskelton
  11. Why has the GFS v16 abandoned us at our moment of dire need?!?!
  12. Whatever boundary layer/ warm nose/ blarghity bloopity happens, this looks like it will be a great ULL pass overnight:
  13. Those are probably pretty close to you @ShawnEastTN, anything down that way?
  14. Some better returns than when I had the light snow/sleet mix starting to show up tp my SW:
  15. Some sleet/ snow mix just now up here in MoCo. Temps generally in the mid 40s and DPs in the mid - upper 20s around me.
  16. I wonder how often they break down the forecast zones that way, even if they don’t mention it in the disco every time?
  17. 18z NAM: I prefer the COD depiction (not for any real reason, other than it shows more snow for Knoxville peeps)
  18. Def. quicker with the front. Nice product from TrueWeather: Mean isobars in black, mean Hs and Ls (large in red and blue) and individual members in red and blue (little hs and ls)
  19. EPS looks like it is pushing the cold east a little quicker than the OP, but tough to tell since I'm having to switch back and forth between services to see the differences.
