  1. Yes isn’t that a bit odd We’re not getting the same off Erie and Ontario???
  2. I’m not. But when the NWS puts it in the HWO and local stations are bringing it up already, I’d say that’s a good signal…I also like the post from LEK right above me with optimism as well…
  3. Well the GFS did sniff out the flatter wave first for this event we just had so I’m holding out hope it’s correct.
  4. That is true…did you also just read the latest AFD for Wednesday night and Thursday??? It’ll cheer you up…
  5. This is very well our winter. IF this comes to fruition…then I’ll even stump yo keep Tug around…
  6. Luckily the Wednesday might Thursday LES is still showing up. All there is to look to at this point
  7. Same in Williamsville…grass blades poking through everything else pasted. Roughly 2”
  8. Yes snowing and beginning to stick to cars, pool cover, not quite the grass yet…
  9. Radar shows snow over Williamsville but not snowing yet…update it has begun to snow, rain mix.
  10. OTG obs about 4 minutes ago Uber dad to Tim Hortons, white rain, occasional flake, 35 ATM…sky is taking in that white look when it’s snowing out…should be changing over within an hours time.
  11. BW I gotta say seeing Tom Niziol discuss the potential for LEA 5 days out does make my ears perk up. Seeing the GFS being so consistent is absolutely exciting at this point. As you stated LES is a bit easier to spot in a week or less time. This COULD turn a lot of this winter around quickly.
  12. I agree. Also it is snowing in Hamilton Ontario already. Environment Canada is calling for up to 1 to 2 Cm per hour at times over night. 5-10cm (roughly 2-5”) accumulation but higher amounts in enhanced areas.
  13. What’s not a miss is the LES potential on all 3 runs this morning from the GFS over the metro Wednesday night through Thursday night…
  14. That’s not even the laziest! The new girl on the local WIVB station here is calling for 1-2”
  15. Also the system looks very impressive at this moment. It just really started to take shape this morning, and it’s looks to be strengthening
  16. I think the NWS is putting too much weight in icing occurring. Every one of these models is 4+” of accumulation through the 90 corridor north. One of two things is happening, IMHO is that the NWS is afraid to buy in to the lake enhancement or the system itself…either way looking upstream I’m not seeing much in the way of icing or mixing.
  17. I’d take that. It appears we’re actually heading into a period of actual winter. Might only be a few weeks so I’m going to soak it up.
