    00z Euro was almost same position as RGEM...low right over Toronto. It doesn't flip to rain on that run in WNY into around 8pm or so. And it's back to snow rather quickly, per that run.

    I figured...it amazes me that airports like Erie, PA and Rochester fudge their numbers as much as they do. Yeah I've noticed his Siberian snow experiment hasn't really been that accurate recently and it's caused him to be a bit standoffish about it.

    Yeah I read that tweet from Cohen yesterday. It's amazing how many atmospheric scientists, meteorologists the like are all perplexed at why the planet is so fragile. Does the MJO drive it all? Is it the loss of Arctic sea ice? Is it the warming waters of the us Coast in the Pacific? So many questions so few answers.

    Can anyone tell me how a low that NEVER crosses the area, stays south, it's January and rain is predicted??? 18z GFS.

    Well NWS punted for the weekend "storm" and they are now predicting 1 to 3 inches on the lake plains...good night...

    12z euro actually looks to hold on to the snow longer than the GFS does for Saturday's storm and the rain looks minimal with the CF passage.

    GFS is at hour 138...next week's storm starting to form...00z was a cutter, 6z was a Miller b and we were all snow...12z anyone???

    Today is a good day to pit local TV Mets vs. NWS...local Mets calling for an 1" at best in and around buffalo today, NWS calling for 1 to 4 inches...saturday local Mets calling for good thump of snow with temps not reaching freezing until late in the day over WNY and NWS calling for quick changeover to mix and rain early in the day. Always like to see who is worse

    I actually remember that. We were in Cheektowaga at the time and if I recall it was uber cold that day and was like 30:1 so the snow compacted quickly to about 10"...so you're saying there's a chance!!!
