  1. Eh, maybe you’re right, but maybe it’s just people’s desire to prove they’re correct, so you stake out a claim on an outcome a long range out and then double down on it, and then enjoy the status of a correct long range call. I see it in my industry too, as well as in economic news. Just my two cents. .
  2. The missus when I tell her I’m reading weather boards: https://x.com/NFLonFOX/status/1741559640003903742?s=20 .
  3. Too much focus on expensive renewables and new clean energy, and not enough on reliable and proven clean nuclear energy. e.g., look at Europe, particularly Germany, moving away from nuclear and having to use gas and coal. The solution for clean is here and has been here for a while - nuclear. Same goes for hybrid vehicles versus full EVs. Over 90% of our car trips are under 30 total miles, completely within a hybrid’s range. Per Toyota, you could build over 70 hybrids with the rare earths it takes to build one EV. We can do it, it’s just not trendy nor does it favor lining the pockets of special interests or social status. .
  4. The late 1990s seemed pretty barren if IIRC. More than we’ve had this year and last, but pretty dead. .
  5. We’re experiencing the 1989-1993 and 1997-2000 timeframes again. 🫠 .
  6. Hey, hey… this is the Mets we’re talking about, so that’s possible. .
  7. ^^^ Ding. People are frustrated. I don’t know the science, but the people part makes sense. When people are frustrated, a coping mechanism is to lash out. It’s usually not personal, but the blame and aggravation boils over. It’s like if you watched your favorite team win 101 games one season and then come back and win 75 the next. .
  8. Remember it was just some convection off the coast of NC the previous evening? I remember watching Paul Kocin the night before. .
  9. One of my favorites because it was a in-my-backyard special that plastered Morris County. It was 18” of power in six hours and it was cold afterwards! It has snowed in and will snow in December again! .
  10. It’s warmer today than it will be for Opening Day (at Citi Field) .
