  1. Time to go spend the weekend with family and come back at Thanksgiving. .
  2. This is south facing, next to the driveway and sidewalk, so you have *sun angle* and radiational, reflectional warmth. .
  3. His grammatical writing style is difficult to read. .
  4. This rain has really perked up some new grass seed I put down for fall seeding along the curb and neighbor’s yard. Nice December 29th green lawn action. .
  5. I’m amazed by people not using dehumidifiers. Humidity settles in basements around here no matter how wet or dry the year is. .
  6. Thank you. I’m at the age that I don’t care how they do it, I just need them to do it. I wish Yamamoto took Steve Cohen’s money. It’s like our winters… I don’t care how we mitigate AGW (trees, emissions cuts, carbon capture, a combination of all three), as long as we do. .
  7. There are two supernatural things I want to experience in my life, and it’s getting more concerning that it won’t occur in my life as I’m now past 40: • A true White Christmas • The Mets winning the World Series I know what you’re thinking and you’re correct: Aliens will be landing in Midtown in broad daylight while being filmed by domestic and international press teams prior to those things happening. .
  8. I think one thing to remember - and not discounting the drumbeat of AGW or new climate regime or background state or whatever - is that all of this has happened before and all of this will (or is) happen(ing) again. It sucks, but we’ve all lived through it. Amazing stat on 1931 through 1934. .
  9. Especially if you’re north of 40. [emoji1410] .
  10. I love your enthusiasm, but I think we all know it’s coming just in time for an April that’s going to look and feel just like today. .
  11. You either have an amazing database or amazing mind! These stats are great. .
  12. Me too! I remember it on New Year’s Eve and then a Sunday morning a week or two later that felt like April. 🫠 .
  13. Thank you for the straightforward explanation! .
  14. That’s too bad if it verifies. It really seems like we’re going through that sluggish part of the cycle where we get low-snow winters, and the background AGW just makes it more annoying for lunatics like ourselves. .
  15. Sign out and come back at Thanksgiving? .
  16. I think stormlover just said this… we have zero expectations today like we did back then. You’re correct regarding the temperature difference, but the lack of snow expectations was and is similar. .
  17. If the boards existed from 1988 through 1993, and again 1997 to 2000, people would have lost their collective minds. .
  18. We had over 48” in February 2021, and I was taking snow off my roof, so it can happen in the latter half of winter. Not as common, but I wouldn’t be bummed out because an uncommon occurrence didn’t materialize. .
