  1. I do; life is just busier then. I find some thunderstorm development interesting, but it’s just easier to use this app when it’s dark and cold. .
  2. I need to be sure I visit this thread next season. Hope all of you have a wonderful warm season. .
  3. You’re probably stoked for this, but all of the long range calls have been seemingly lousy recently, so why would it suddenly change when it’s something that you want? (That goes for snow and cold, too) .
  4. Opening Day will naturally be 38° and blustery. .
  5. Can’t wait for drinking out of the garden hose when the weather warms up as I’m washing my car or watering the plants .
  6. Not the worst thing. I can’t wait to work in my yard and see my boys’ baseball season begin. .
  7. Frightening either way. Does an El Niño or La Niña pattern impact tornado chances, or is it too random or specific to a point in time? (I think May is our highest chances at seeing tornadoes in New Jersey, if I recall correctly) .
  8. …wasn’t the fire chief in L.A. just fired this week for not doing enough to prepare for fires? .
  9. New Jersey does a lot wrong, but does fire prevention well. California shows what happens when you add fuel from what could be preventable (brush and forest management) to what isn’t preventable (dryness, winds, sparks) and can get conflagrations that impact people and property. .
  10. How I look at my phone when the forecast says it’s all snow with no chance of changing to rain .
  11. I didn’t intend to single you out; more so, people just enjoy complaining with like-minded people. Hope that makes sense. .
  12. Good point on the thirty year. It states the obvious background. .
  13. I think it’s psychological and a wink wink thing, like, remember how it was before things went bad? Validating yourself with peers/others/people who judge you. (Note that I’m not denying the climate being warmer. This reminds me of juggling personalities at work; I have to allow people on levels below, even, and above me to pontificate throughout status meetings in order for them to be heard in front of colleagues to help move my projects along to reach my personal KPIs and bonus goals in the fiscal.) .
  14. I think for people of a certain age, it had the feel of winter when you (me) were a kid; cold, dry, with snow all around you but never seemingly at your home. .
  15. you’ve been waiting your whole life to post it .
  16. that would make it more difficult for me to get to Mets games. That needs to be taken into consideration. .
  17. May be right. I don’t know enough; I don’t disagree with what you’re saying, though I think it’s more random and luck than we want to admit, as for most things in life. Kind of like, you’re not wrong, but also big snowstorms in New Orleans and Pensacola? Seems just good or bad luck. Or the other day, there was a flipped over tractor trailer on 24, occurring minutes before I left home. If I had a left a few minutes earlier… who knows. Just random things. .
