looks like radar is filling in to just start a firehose through the the tristate area.

dang that band is nice. I think I must be in a narrow band that is coming through northern westchester right now, which has been impressive. I was going to go to bed, but I have to stay up now to see if we get into that band coming across LI. Looks like there is thunder in there as well.

just went outside on my covered porch. Though we face west-east. I am a snow man after 10 minutes being outside with the wind driven snow coming from the north blowing under the porch roof. It is dumping. It is a blizzard in terms of visibility. Forget a 1/4 mile. I could sometimes barely see 100 ft.

wind picking up but not snowing as hard here. Wow! amazing to hear about thunder and lightning in NYC. Jealous. Hoping it gets up here. enjoy all! amazing storm already and more excitement to come. Stay safe and be well all.

Just ripping snow right now! If my neighbors lights behind me were not on I would not know they were there. Whiteout. Wind picking up from the north. Up to I would say 5 inches now and growing minutes by minute.

Not sure of exact total but around 3.5 inches here in ossining. Snow has picked up. got about an inch in the last hour. Wind starting to pick up out of the north. Visibility is getting is pretty bad.

Hey all-- I don't post much because I am just a weather enthusiast, but I wanted to write to say thanks to all the mets and other informed people on this board. I have been part of the weather forums in the NYC area since the ABC local news weather forum which then led to NYCmetroweather. Through all this time I have appreciated learning from everyone. Saw an amazing display in Ossining last night. This is over our house. Northern Light NY.HEIC

Similar to others. Heavier snow now after a hit of a lull of light snow. Now big flakes

30.2 degrees here in Ossining. Started off as a sleet fest. Got about a 1/4 inch then changed over to snow. Now have about 1 1/2 inches of snow on the ground and 2 inchea or more on the deck and grass I would say. Winds out of the NE. Shifting between light and pretty heavy snow. So nice to finally have some snow!!!

Snow really picking up now as well as a brisk north wind. Small flakes. Probably at least an inch of snow now but hard to tell with wind. 21.5 degrees.

Light snow since about 9 pm. Just a trace covering everything but starting to get a little heavier now. Small flakes. 27.5 degrees

Temp dropped quick once started to snow. Down to 27 degrees. 1/4 inch of snow.

We are pretty close. Hope we have a good snow. Enjoy!
