  1. Day 7 European is nightmare fuel and our cold looks to exit to Europe in short order.
  2. The difficult part is abandoning your rationale and accepting that it wasn't inevitable. It was inevitable as far as civilization is concerned but there will be a post-civilization et al world. We can learn from our mistakes and close Pandora's box. I am not even going to predict if it will even be possible to restart civilization. It's highly doubtful however.
  3. We might be f*cked just sayin'... PAC going to puke right on queue. Same pattern different year.
  4. People talk poorly about the dead but do not care about the living. They are so eager to vindicate their policies that kill millions each year. A holocaust every year and this is from the people that are supposedly the gold standard. People around the world are getting tired of democracy and socialism and the double standards.
  5. We should all change our names to Lowershoresadness and accept our inevitable snowless future.
  6. Too real and all too tragic for those of us aware of human potentialities. We are becoming polarized during a time in which we are most vulnerable to polarization.
  7. If one approaches the predicament sensibly from an organic holistic perspective they would be against the continuation of civilization. There is nothing to gain here except suffering and toil.
  8. Laughable bluewave. The net incentive is not even there even if we export this model to the universe I don't expect human equity and liberty to get any better. You may say there is human inequity in nature but there is also not a huge cost to this inequity. The number of individuals is much lower. Alas it's all hypothetical as humans will never be able to overcome 'The Great Filter'.
  9. Humanity is an anti-natural occurrence but the human individual is a beautiful thing and one with nature. An ecosystem all in it's own right. LibertyBell these guys are on the wrong path and they will pay the ultimate price. Some times you cannot save people from themselves.
  10. Many people warned us about dependence on technology and yet here you are doubling down. This is a battle that cannot be won. If it can be won then it would be impossible to imagine (pretty much every Dystopian film ever). I never said it would be easy. There are problems in the world and we are not cohesive and believe it or not a new threat is replacing capitalism.
  11. Nothing would be more glorious than instead of passing the torch to someone somewhere else we could instead tone down our expectations. A high-yield energy intensity is not necessary for happiness and as we have seen and documented extensively, the process of technological slavery of which all people's are impacted and all are guilty of imposing on others has now run it's course. Ultimately it's your decision to walk away. I am getting my list together consider it a modern version of a very familiar list. Let the real work begin.
  12. If it ends up in the middle then it would be like a continuation of what we have now which sucks massively. On the other hand I have reconsidered my desires for an EF5 to rip through @psuhoffman's house.
  13. Still no freeze at KWWD. This place is unbelievable xD
  14. This is not an advocacy post brother. It's actually a shot across the bow so that you can get the hell out of harm's way. A personal gift to a community I hold dear. Not what you expected probably. Your problem is deep down you believe you are immune to everything and anything. Worse yet you are a parent you have an obligation to be well-informed. In regard to the bolded portion that is a leftist tactic. I am not a leftist please don't make assumptions which brings up another topic ... the political polarization is unreal. I come here to escape that.
  15. There's no way not a chance without the supporting pillars of globalization African development will stall with the rest of the world. Overpopulation is not as easy as you think.
  16. By the time I am underwater I think you will be grilling rats in the ruins of civilization. Certainly not posting in here. I think you have good intentions but I don't understand the hostility. Maybe I hyped it up too much too early. Alas we avoid the perils of blaming ourselves so that we may focus on the vision.
  17. People ought to know how close we are to this pejoratively shit hitting the fan moment. Climate Jenga is so overrated.
  18. Only a week later than normal? We must be using the new normals. I know that for Cape May the first freeze generally happens around November 5th and we freeze late versus the broader region. Looking through the data DCA runs way too warm to be used as a valid metric.
  19. This is where cold Novembers lead you. We might be doubly f*cked from the bad climo and pattern recognition I cannot even imagine what is waiting for us.
  20. It is somewhat ironic that we would mention peak climo since that is an accumulation of the pattern leading up. This is what I call a cold air ejection pattern which are AGW wavelengths unsuitable for good winters. Too much of what used to be our friend in the golden years of the 2000s and early 2010s.
  21. Barely an argument. The writing is on the wall in this regard with that said maybe we will find a new way to get snow.
  22. Looks like death to me. Not expecting much this year or next year going forward. If you cannot win with that -NAO block it's time to pack it up gentlemen.
