I was just gonna comment on that -
COD appears to have changed their algorithm. Particularly in the lower levels - I'm not sure that is intended or if that is an artifact of a 'bug' in the rendering, but I kind of like it. If studying the loop of that image, you can clearly tell by behavior that is highlighting the RH fields trapped below some 900 or so mb inversion. Pretty cool ...
Ah, ok - didn't realize they changed something.
That's actually a relief. Thought I had accidentally consumed more than a micro-dose of fungi this morning.

not sure what it is specifically but it looks a lot like what my young norway spruce's had after their second winter. Ended up consuming the entire tree and killed it. My neighbor lost an older (but still young) blue spruce at the same time so I'm thinking some kind of disease.

Yeah I mean I’m not in conspiracy mode yet, but there’s been interesting points raised.
I don't think you're in conspiracy mode if you raise an eyebrow when someone Googles "how long to die in the cold" at 230AM. And that's just the most blatant in a list of curious things about this case.

Dude needs to not bother witnesses. In the past, I recall Turtleboy having some decent scoops on local stories, but this deal with messing with witnesses, and throwing out vailed threats through is blog is wrong.
Yeah that's where he slipped up. He's got, IMO, truth on his side on this case. He doesn't need to mess with the witnesses - only hurts his cause (and landed him in jail for a day).

My sisters went up to stay with my sister this weekend and got stuck in that traffic. They hit it on 290, 495 and 95. Took them a long time to get up there.
Not surprised. Looked more like a Friday at 6pm in the summer.

About a 4 mile backup on Rte 100 from I-89 to the North. Unsure what it was from other than heavy peeper traffic- so many white plates. Perhaps it was just Ben and Jerry's traffic.
The stretch of 95 North from Portsmouth to Portland was pretty heavily congested tonight, much more than I'd expect for this weekend given the forecast. 90% out of state plates.

Sturbridge gets super crowded when we get towards peak, we used to get leaf peepers at the restaurant but used to do well in tips that time of the year.
Worked at OSV and Publick House throughout high school and mid/late October was always slammin'..

And the first flakes of the season at the picnic tables right behind it - that's been modeled for several days now (at least on the GFS).

12th straight dry day today - looks like another half dozen on the way. Smoke gave last night's full moon a lavender tinge, first time I've seen that.
Day 11 here. Noticed the lavender shade when it was rising as well. Very cool.
