  1. It really is. My assumption is there are some people that have some good memories saved to their PC's (a storm thread, a PBP of an epic Euro run, or something like that).
  2. Found this gem. Showcases the Rain-heavy snow changeover of one of my favorite storms (Jan 26th 2011)
  3. I'm away on spring break (skiing in Utah) during that time, so you can lock in a massive snowstorm for April standards
  4. That's crazy! How much have you gotten this season vs average?
  5. I think this room is the secret.
  6. Paging @dailylurker gotta get this place filled up again
  7. Looking through, it appears as if only a couple pages are archived. Archived times I see are Feb 1st (most Jan 30th storm threads aren't accessible), Feb 4th 2010 (most storm threads aren't accessible either), and Feb 13th, 2010 (only goes to page 3, so no Blizzards of 2010). I will keep on looking though & hopefully I can get some good finds
  8. Sorry if I'm intervening, but that was late Jan 2010-Early Feb 2010. Many areas got 40-60" of snow in a 2 week span during that time
  9. Congrats on everyone who cashed in on this storm. Stay safe and warm!
  10. Just coming up with a thread I thought others may like. This is just a bunch of older posts/videos related to previous blizzards/winter storms. If anyone wants to add their personal videos/other videos or even other content (snowfall maps, OBS threads, whatnot). March/1-2/2009 (3/1-2/2009) Radar Loop Videos: Surface Maps: Snow totals (From http://www.raymondcmartinjr.com) Airport Totals: DCA: 5.5" BWI: 5.8" IAD: 6.0" RIC: 6.3" -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- December/5/2009 (12/5/2009) Radar Loop: Videos: Surface Maps: Snow totals: Airport Totals: DCA: T BWI: 1.0" IAD: 3.0" RIC: T --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  11. Sweet! That's pretty impressive. Certainly a winter to remember for y'all. Enjoy!
  12. Radar is pretty epic. How much snow do you have on the year vs your average?
  13. Bump Not bumping this thread because of the redemption that followed, but because we need this thread. We've endured a tough 2 year stretch, with missed storms to the north, south, east, and west, and Salisbury has gotten more snow this winter than many of us have gotten in the past 2 years. We could be entering a decent period, especially for March standards. Might be jumping the gun, but let's see how it goes.
  14. The worst type of person (most of the time)
  15. You guys better hope beyond hope e10 is right. Lot of Southern storms showing up on the GEFS for sure
  16. No such thing as too late. Unless there is no pattern change in the foreseeable future. The -NAO has not been negative for any prolonged period during this winter (except for November, and 5 days of the start of met winter). Makes sense that it would go negative as shown by ensembles. You southern folks might be out of the game, but the northern folks are probably in the game until March 15th. At least in my opinion. Start hoping for a strong -NAO. The stronger the better for you guys. Given our luck in the DC area, the NAO will be strongly negative, negative enough to suppress storms to the South and jackpot you guys.
  17. Knowing our luck, you guys will catch all of our suppressed storms in a -NAO
  18. Yeah, my idea was to move to Winchester, or at least somewhere close to there.
