Looks like around 8 days from now, we have some blocking setting up and a pretty good coastal developing. Right now, it's a close meteorological miss. I love chasing ghosts!
6z GFS on November 9th has an interesting look to it with a developing low on the coast and snow pelting areas to our west; Ohio, PA, WV. Now if we could just have that storm develop further south of the mid Atlantic.
I recall that in 1972 driving back to WDC from Mount St. Mary's in a raging snowstorm one night in probably February only to reach the beltway and see it change to rain in a New York minute.
It's Snowmageddon 1 for me but the time between that and Snowmageddon 2 was the most exciting because there was the feeling that it would be impossible to have a 2nd major storm so close together.
