Are la ninas actually more common than el ninos are, but when el ninos occur they are usually stronger? -

https://twitter.com/i/events/1456283212670509057 this is alarming they are cropping images of black and brown people from the climate summit and removing their names from the list like, they give them a platform to speak but in media releases they dont mention them and remove them from the images -

https://twitter.com/i/events/1456016513304043534 Bolsanaro stealing the land of indigenous people and burning away the Amazon, promising to stop by 2030, and the Amazon will be long gone by then. Someone please bomb Bolsanaro out of existence, use the military for something useful for a change. The guy doesn't deserve to be allowed to live. -
Thanks I'm actually headed there this afternoon, the weather is perfect for raking leaves!
-
I'm going to reclassify the tristate area as part of the southeast since we can't see these amazing northern lights displays that people in new england have been seeing
-
I take it we're not somewhere where you can see the northern lights but they've been absolutely spectacular the last two nights and will be again tonight
-
looks like the allergy season is over on Long Island too irrespective of the fake lows recorded at the airports!
-
Thanks! I went there yesterday and saw heavy frost everywhere and it was so thick it looked like snow had fallen. It didn't melt until after 10 am! This should finally get rid of the bugs and the rag weed!
-
What were you yesterday morning?
-
Don did any snowflakes make it down to Mt Pocono?
-
especially when it's cloudy...today was MUCH better than yesterday even though the morning today was colder
-
hard to believe it didn't get down to freezing during Snowtober
-
why do their storms last so long and we never get a storm like that? storms seem to always be smaller and moving faster when they get here
-
Muttontown is always so cold, I wonder if it snows there even after the rest of Long Island switches over to rain.
-
we wont be having any clear nights going forward
-
with all that rain the Portage Glacier will melt
-
that dog measures snow better than most people, at least it knows not to use the ruler upside down
-
I saw a forecast for like 150 inches of snow LOL and these places are near sea level?
-
Don do you have a projection for first freeze for NYC, JFK, LGA, etc? Thanksgiving?
-
2001, 2006 and 2011 didn't have their first freeze until after December?
-
I noticed southern nassau and NYC are the only parts of the area not under a frost advisory
-
were 1997-98 and 1998-99 the lowest snow total we ever had over a 2 year period? 1996-97 to 1998-99 might have been the lowest snow total we ever had over a three year period and if it wasn't for 2000-01 the snow drought would have lasted right through 2001-02.
-
just look at some of the winters we've had after a very late first freeze....2009-10 is on that list
