very similar to here, hovering between 91-92 after a high of 94 about 30 minutes ago. I wonder if the primary turnout for tomorrow will be suppressed because it will be the peak of the heat? mail in turnout has been pretty high though, especially in Brooklyn and Manhattan.

it will be soon lol. summer break always started for us around the 25-27th. Finals were after the summer solstice and ended on Wednesday of the 4th week of June.

I don't think it makes you feel better, because it just gets more humid. Tomorrow will be much better with no sea breeze and temperatures over 100 for everyone and dew points in the 50s.

Yea, I wonder if the sea breeze is moving around a bit. I can see it's windy outside but the temperatures keeps making up and down jumps, it got up to 94 here 5 minutes ago and then fell back down to 92.

that's possible with a seabreeze front coming through, notice how the station I posted spiked to 94.5 at 9:19 and then dropped off a degree and a half to 93 and has now stabilized there.

Interesting thing about the sea breeze front is sometimes it moves back south and moves around, especially before around 3 pm. Temperatures are still rising here, although not as quickly as before. Now 92 on a SW wind and HI of 107.

The high at JFK so far has been 92 with a heat index of 107 with a southwesterly wind. We just hit 92 here too. Sometimes the sea breeze moves around like a rain/snow/mix line so the temperatures can still rise.

Could this be the reason that sometimes JFK hits 100 and NYC doesn't when the wind is westerly and coming off the Hudson River?

That 6 degree difference from 1972 really stands out, I wonder what was going on that day? and wow, JFK had 2 100 degree days in 1983 and NYC had none?
