  5. It could be true especially since it was no longer purely tropical. Worse than Sandy in terms of winds wow (we had 90-95 mph winds here from Sandy.)
  6. Yes, last October and first half of November were my favorite 6 weeks in Fall in over a decade (probably going back to 2010.)
  7. Yes the *warmth* doesn't mean much if it's going to be cloudy/foggy/misty/drizzly/rainy Spring weather was much better in the 70s/80s/90s/all the way to 2002.

  9. Yep, cool/cold this time of year is only a problem at night. I hope your solar panels work out, our springs seem to be getting wetter (and cooler in terms of high temperatures.) You might need to clean it often otherwise mold and/or mildew might reduce its efficiency (if we keep getting wet weather like this.)
  10. lol it will be worse Tuesday through Thursday will be okay. There will be sun, even though it's cold, who cares, the sun is high enough in the sky during the day that it won't matter much.
  11. There really wasn't, I've experienced a real drought.
  12. Thank goodness we didn't get that here! Sunshine would be much better than this cloudy muck though.

  14. told you lol, there was no real drought
  15. I wonder what the wind speeds were in the Norfolk and Long Island hurricane? All I see are storm surge values and minimum barometric pressure-- what about wind speeds?
  16. Our Aprils were hotter and drier in the late 70s. It's actually pretty surprising how much more common 90 degree heat was in April back then.
  17. it's gotten worse, if you look back at the 70s, 80s and 90s all the way to 2002 we had drier Aprils back then and more 90 degree days in April than we have now. Note especially April 1976, 77, 78.
  18. what a historic event this was. Lows:EWR: 17 (1982) BlizzardNYC: 21 (1982)LGA: 22 (1982)JFK: 20 (1982)
  19. we will be in flooding conditions soon at this rate.
  20. Much better than the crap we have now.
  21. a hurricane in August 1893 destroyed Hogs Island near the Rockaways
  22. Early indications are that summer 2025 will be warmer than normal in the New York City and Philadelphia areas. The potential exists for a much warmer than normal summer (more than 1° above normal). Good as long as it's not this wet and not extremely humid.
  23. 72 and sunny no winds, this is the warmest it's been here since last Saturday when it was 83 here.
  24. If you're a Mets fan today was the perfect day for the home opener, the sun came out right around 2 pm and it's blindingly bright right now and no wind.
