At 10:00 am on July 10, Central Park is the coolest ASOS site in the NYC Metro at 81 degrees. Even Westhampton is warmer at 82. Clear issue of horrible siting.

Not really. It’s just an article complaining that official weather obs are taken anywhere in an urban area other than under a tree (like Central Park). According to that article unless a reading for a city is taken outside of a built up area it’s not a valid reading. Notwithstanding the fact that millions of people live in said urban center in the built up area and might want to know hot it is where they live, which is not under a tree. and not to mention that website is purely dedicated to denying climate change. Gotta check the source.
