  1. Are any of you criminal attorneys? Well i am, and practice alot of criminal law, not major offenses like murder or rape or anything, but minor offenses including some felonies. I have been before many really tough judges who refused to grant my clients any leeway or slack, so there is definitely not a proliferation of liberal criminal judges. There are some judges who are more lenient than others for sure though, but ive never seen a judge be irresponsible. One point @Ginx snewx doesnt understand is that there are limited resources in the judicial system. Half the time there arent enough court officers in the criminal courts due to funding issues, and our jails are over crowded. Also, putting guys in jail for years for minor violations destroys society, as many of these people are fathers, husbands, and hard working employees who make a mistake. Start putting everyone in jail and you will crush the taxpayer, families, and the economy. Again, unless you have been in the criminal court system representing either the government or defendants, you have no idea what you are talking about.
  2. I think we had one last summer over 2.00”, training storms
  3. At 10:00 am on July 10, Central Park is the coolest ASOS site in the NYC Metro at 81 degrees. Even Westhampton is warmer at 82. Clear issue of horrible siting.
  4. Not really. It’s just an article complaining that official weather obs are taken anywhere in an urban area other than under a tree (like Central Park). According to that article unless a reading for a city is taken outside of a built up area it’s not a valid reading. Notwithstanding the fact that millions of people live in said urban center in the built up area and might want to know hot it is where they live, which is not under a tree. and not to mention that website is purely dedicated to denying climate change. Gotta check the source.
  5. Its going to be pretty hot, the duration will be impressive. We are looking at potentially a 7 day heatwave in some if the urban areas.
  6. And 4 in the past 3 years...since i moved to my house in Suffolk in April 2015 we have had 4 blizzards, at least one every year, and 2 in 2018...just ridiculous out here.
  7. Lol. Went from November to Remember to 3rd week of December looks good. Some people never learn.
  8. Lithium gets old, repeats same songs. 94.3 the SHARK is pretty good out here, and 90.7 WFUV is a city station which is good for alternative music. I only like the Adam Sandler Hannukah song. Seeing Dark Star Orchestra at the Paramount in Huntington Sat night, love that venue.
  9. Likewise sir. Had some laughs. How bout those little kittens we saw?
  10. This weather blows. Bring back the heat. We only have two seasons now. It's incredible
  11. No only 6". If it's such an amazing pattern it's a slam dunk. Easy money
  12. I'll take that bet. $20 your location doesnt see a 6"of greater snowfall before Dec 1?
  13. People freaking out over models showing blocking in mid-November is insane. New England may even see rain from these threats. We have had great patterns in June, but it doesnt mean it will snow. I dont take any threat seriously until after December 1. Yes, i know we have gotten snow in October and November a few times in the past thirty years, but those are the exception and not the rule. If the models look the same in 2 weeks i will get more intrigued, as of now its fantasy.
  14. No, i havent put my sprinklers on in weeks. We had 9 inches of rain last month.
  15. If it gets below 25 like some models are showing I get nervous. Luckily its been warm lately so the ground will keep things above freezing, other than any exposed pipes and maybe the heads themselves
  16. Need to blow out my sprinklers asap, all the companies are booked and i dont have a compressor. This is bad news.
  17. Peak foliage now. Actually a great leaf season around here.
  18. I worked local so it wasn't terrible and lived right near the train station. But I do like Suffolk better, more to do in the summer, more open space and parks, more bang for your buck
  19. That Albertson observation is from me. Had some great winters when I lived there from October 2010 to march 2015
  20. @dmillz25, so you going to pay me or what?
