I’m between 3-3.5” in Halls with medium sized flakes coming down at a good rate. If you zoom in to the house, you can see the flake size pretty well.

We’ve run into a massive problem in Sevier County.. mixing. HRRR has us being stuck in a mix all day. While it looks like it’s snowing hard on radar here, it’s not. This is extremely disappointing and frustrating if it ends up winning out.
.
I was literally about to ask about the foothills because 40-50dbz showing up on radar
. -
Parts of Nashville has really over performed. My buddy east of Nashville in Mt Juliet has 5-6”

I’m a little over 3” now and you can see the radar is matching up to that dollop the mods have shown for 3 or 4 days in the central/eastern valley around Knoxville. This has really grown the last 45 min.

26 here, I'd say the NAM based temp concerns for east TN are gone and ratios will be high. Pulling for the ICON here.
There’s a 30dbz blob about to move over us in 15 min

You can see on the NAM it’s picking up on the colder thermals in SE Tennessee and along the foothills. The NW precipitation line hasn’t really changed much from 00z Sunday but obviously there’s been a nice SE adjustment.

Surprised at what’s falling vs what’s on radar. This is moderate snow with 50% fatties mixed in.

Not sure if MRX turned the sensitivity up on the radar or what but picking up returns on the plateau is very encouraging.

Have a dusting and moderate snow (tiny flakes). Insanely slick!
High ratio. That’s a good sign

Light snow currently falling on the Waldens ridge, no issues sticking to surfaces. Temps and dewpoints are currently stable at 30.6 and 20, respectively
What elevation are you?

For those keeping track……here’s the latest from WVLT. Still wondering what model runs they are hanging their hats on.
.
If you predict 4 and it snows 8, no one cares.

No I think you're OK.
In fact that forecast is so nutty that I should feel better down here too.
Cynicism aside, this snow event should work out. Pattern recognition is that the reinforcing Arctic front will anchor the cold. Isentropic lift with mid-level front is near ideal. NAM has its strengths with robust waves, but this isn't that. I may eat my words, but I think everything will work out.
PS the Paul Barys post shows up now. Yeah that is about what I'm thinking. Time to relax for a bit. I'll be back later.
Someone somewhere at some point will have temp issues but for the life of me I can’t imagine it being on the west side of the apps. I thought it was possible someone might have a mixing issue at the onset but after we meet the correct temp profile for snow, I can’t imagine it getting disrupted during the event. Maybe in Georgia but not above the State line.

Currently 22 degrees with a windchill of 11. Light snow falling. Local met Joey Sulipeck in Memphis seems to like the HRRR 3KM forecast
Good luck Bro

App says 25. No clue how reliable it is
.
Get this app. Search your area and pick out a few locations to your north, south, east and west. That’s the best way to keep up with live data.

I’ve got a friend in Cleveland Tn that I’m helping out. I literally told him he could be 5 miles to the good or bad.

Sitting at 42 in Red Bank. Looks like some precip is about to move in to Hamilton Co. Hoping we can get some cooler air quicker!!
.
Your dew point matters as much as the temp right now. What’s your DP?
