Wondering if next week will bring in a tornado threat to the valley? I’d say the plateau and southern valley will like usually have a better opportunity .

Spring/Summer 2021 Medium/Long Range Forecast Discussion.

Some pretty big isolated totals around the region. Most areas seen between 1-3” but a few areas outside the higher elevations did well. One in particular was 5 miles north of Jefferson City in Granger Co picked up 5” and no one close to that area seen more than 3”. Cherokee Co in SWNC picked up almost 8”. .- 86 replies

Rain seems heavier on the ground than what the radar is showing. I’m under moderate feedback on RadarScope but it’s absolutely a monsoon on the ground. .- 86 replies

Noticed that also. I didn’t look but I’m assuming the GFS has a more favorable Floyd track for us. .- 86 replies

I got around an inch and that storm was only on me for 30 min or so. East and south Knoxville had those storms for well over an hour. Reports of several roads under water in downtown Knoxville .- 86 replies

Hot off the presses this morning. A nice read about the March 2012 tornado outbreak. I give MRX crap sometimes but they do a good job on these mini reviews. https://storymaps.arcgis.com/stories/574eef4ae2b54a14ac08a561271b0730 .

No mention of that cluster the last few days from the NWS. At 5am this morning I could see the lightning from my house in Halls as the storms crossed into Tennessee. Got a little rain out of it but most of the action went west of Knox Co. .

I’ve done a lot of small mouth, stripe bass fishing on the Holston River in east Knoxville (3 Rivers) area. We had some days where we quit because we’re tired of catching fish [emoji23] .
