  1. I know I’m running this in the ground some but I’ll be shocked to see a 10 degree temp rise in Knoxville tomorrow. If it really gets down to 27-28 degrees, IMO it will struggle to get past 32°. Assuming all things are equal. .
  2. We shouldn’t see much more of a correction as of now. I wouldn’t say it’s set in stone but it’s pretty close. .
  3. It’s a fine line. Colder the air the drier the air. That can also mean higher ratios though. .
  4. Think I remember a west to east slider/clipper quick hitter several years ago that was modeled to give Knoxville 2-4”. I only got some flurries but 5 miles north of me in Union Co got several inches. Dry air and downsloping killed the valley from Knox Co south down 40. Plateau, northern valley and mountains did well. .
  5. The temperature rise is throwing me off. Unless there’s some strong WAA before hand, I’m not understanding my low temp of 27° rising to 37° during the day with elaborative cooling and dynamic cooling going on most of the day. Not sure how well mods handle that kind of thing. I think it’s more likely my low temps are modeled to low. It doesn’t make sense that my low temp tonight will be colder than it was last night with a system approaching. I can a situation where my low temp is around 32 but only rises to 34ish and then it starts to fall off when rain rates pick up. .
  6. That precip type shows almost all snow for everyone north of 40 but I feel like my boat has a slow leak. .
  7. Now TDOT is preparing roads around Knoxville, we can’t catch a break. At least there’s a basketball game on tonight….. for now. .
  8. All that downsloping effecting the western valley looks legit and uniform. It looks believable IMO. .
  9. Similar streaks as the Euro and GFS. Kinda bizarre .
  10. You know the GFS is kinda showing those same streaks. Not as defined but they are similar .
  11. I didn’t see if you posted but how much did you get from Sunday? .
  12. I believe that’s petty close to where the NAM has it. .
  13. We are trending that direction as of now. .
  14. Which is a really good sign for Knoxville as of now assuming the NAM is doing what it does. .
  15. How is that snow south of the 540 line? .
  16. Just like in Tennessee athletics, I’ve always got the “what could go wrong” outlook on things. Maybe I’m wrong but I can’t ever remember a handoff going well for the valley. They always seem to transfer from Birmingham to Charleston. .
  17. Maybe there’s a handoff coming that hasn’t shown up yet? Mods get confused during an active pattern. .
  18. When the system started to tilt, some of those rates in southern MTn were incredible .
  19. That’s beautiful. What’s up with all the timber down in that one picture? .
  20. I ended up with around 2” but it only snowed around 2-3 hours. It was puking it though .
