I was a Jr in HS. One of the best times of my life. Buddy of mine had a lot of acres. A bunch of us met up over there and we stayed for several days. 4 wheelers, sledding, big camp fire. Looking back we are lucky one of us didn’t get hurt with some of the stuff we did. My buddy was into pipe bombs and explosives. We would go back in the woods and blow tree stumps out of the ground. We all thought he was crazy, he now works for the DOD [emoji23] .

Tornadoes in 93’ around the middle of February. The one from Oak Ridge, Powell to Halls missed me by 1/2 mile. .

Velocity showed 77 mph over my house with the QLCS but only 40-40mph made it to the ground. There was a nice break/offset in the line that moved over me. System was moving from SW to NE but my winds were out of the NNW. It got spooky for about 5 minutes .

Power is out at my house in Halls. Interesting that the line strengthened as it moved off the plateau and actually developed more kinks and offsets in it. TYS recorded a 64mph and MRX sent this out 30 min before it hit… .

Another trough for the middle of next week. Climo isn’t good yet but if we keep getting these, one of them will I eventually produce a backside wave. Similar to Christmas Eve last year. .

Was not expecting this much rain this morning. Also quite a few severe reports in the typical favored areas. Northern Plateau and southern plateau to Chattanooga. .

There was a short lived TDS this morning around 6am cst NE of Nashville in Hartsville. Velocity was kinda one sided but had strong winds .

With winds that strong you wonder how snow would even reach the ground .
