  1. Maybe I read you wrong but you’re thinking the tornado action will be south of the dark green and ETn deals with just winds and hail? LLJ is too far south for us? .
  2. MRX is really taking this more serious than usual .
  3. The cluster of storms shown by the HRRR in middle Alabama to Georgia hasn’t developed. The HRRR showed limited instability in Tennessee. The 3k NAM doesn’t show those storms south of Tennessee and has much greater instability in our area. DP in Knoxville is low to mid 60’s after starting out mid 40’s. .
  4. Will GOM convection win tomorrow afternoon? .
  5. We might go dry but 2016 dry was a anomaly. That whole year was messed up. I remember it was so warm in March that Bermuda was 90% in and then the Easter freezer happened and killed so many plants, trees and shrubs. Seems like we had almost a week of below freezing temps at night and a few nights it was low 20’s. Then from August to November it rained like just a few inches. It was so dry that Bermuda went dormant. .
  6. Looks active again on Tuesday and Wednesday .
  7. The wind has really picked up the last hour here in the valley .
  8. I’m seeing on social media people calling this event a derecho but I thought a derecho actually needed a low pressure or some type of broad meso circulation? Can a squall line meet the criteria? I always thought a derecho was basically a stronger MCS. .
  9. At 2pm it was 52 degrees at my house, now it’s almost 70. That’s some strong WAA .
  10. Maybe a little more active, middle to the end of next week. .
  11. I just put it in the severe weather thread. Going through a populated downtown of a major city is definitely worst case scenario. Prayers for those people. I sent it to a friend of mine and he said…”looks like Ukraine” .
  12. I really like David Aldrich and think he’s a good Met. He has several times in the past rolled with a forecast everyone else was afraid to do. That being said, this is tacky IMO. .
  13. Is the link for this page in the “links for weather” page? .
  14. Saw pictures from my wife’s friends who live on Fox Hunter Ridge in Maynardville showing just under 12”. Which I was skeptical of but that ridge is 2200’ and in town there’s several reports of 8”. .
